You're a step ahead of me. So far, all I have is the voicemail from Casey Hendricks. I haven't even received any e-mail confirmation yet.USMCMatt wrote:Anybody with schollys......when were you notified? Initial call, welcome packet, email?
I just got the generic welcome packet and no mention of $$... now i am a bit concerned.
And she said nothing about any scholarships, so I'm a little bit worried. I'm a non-resident, so I don't think I can afford the tuition.

Be cautious of the Admissions Office at George Mason? In my opinion they play too many games!

Re: George Mason c/o 2015 (2011-2012 cycle)
I'd like input from those of you attending in the fall...
I'm out of state, so if I do decide to attend GMU, I'll end up being 280k in debt after graduation.
I have the opportunity to get in-state tuition in GA for $13k a year... For those of you who know about the job market and employment prospects in the DC area, is George Mason worth the additional debt? It'll end up being about triple the cost.
Feel free to PM me or reply here. I would appreciate any advice!

280? That seems a little steep. Their COA estimate is about 62/yr...what's up with the extra 100k?

I'm getting in Friday night but not leaving until Monday morning...anybody wanna split a hotel room...two queen beds?
Looking at the DoubleTree right by Reagan Airport. It's about $150 night so if you spring for $50 we'll can call it even. Metro runs right there and drops off at GMU...
My wife requests that I not share with a girl...sounds reasonable to me.
Bumpity Bump......anybody down?

I figured in the interest that would accrue over the lifetime of the loan.USMCMatt wrote:ahenson7 wrote:I'd like input from those of you attending in the fall...

LIVING IN ARLINGTON:
Hey does anybody know where law students tend to live, where the less costly apt.'s are, or any other housing info they would like to share?
I'm coming up for the open house but would like to get a gameplan of where to look when I am there... Thanks.

In today via a phone call! Pleasantly surprised. I really didn't think I had much of a shot considering my low LSAT score, and the fact that I applied right before the deadline.
Will scholarship info come with the acceptance packet (assuming there is any money left)?

Anyone have any idea how many people are on the waitlist? Doesn't seem to have too many people on lawschoolnumbers. I am very interested in Mason.

I got accepted to my top choice today off the waitlist so I will be withdrawing from GM once I receive the admissions packet. Good Luck and hopefully open a spot for someone else!

Can someone link to the FB group I cant find it.
Also anyone already in the DC/Nova area and want to start looking at apartments. I am a non-smoking, light-drinking male, that wants to spend around 1k a month (translate 1 or 2 roomies) for something walking distance.

I'm probably going to Georgetown. So I'll be nearby. I really like GMU and definitely could have been happy there.jd2015vt wrote:Thanks! What school are going to? Best of luck in law school.westcoast wrote:I withdrew yesterday. Good luck.
