Agreed waiting is that much worse with seat deposits coming due. George Mason is my number one right now. I wish their seat deposit wasn't so high though :/

If you visit the school, whether it be a personal tour or for the open hour, I believe the first seat deposit is reduced by $250. I think that brings the total to $500.

How do they know? Do you have to fill out a form?
The admissions office will record your visit if you go so I'd say just stop by their office and give them your name. If you go to the open house then I don't believe any that is necessary. I got all this info from an email sent by the director of admissions back in late feb.

Yea i visited but forgot to mention this to anyone, so you have to bring it up. However, i signed into the library, so hopefully they will still have that sign in sheet!

Same here. Has everyone who received a scholarship offer gotten it already?

I have also heard that Mason has an economic focus, but not much more than that

I never got any information. I emailed GMU asking if I should expect scholarship info. I also notified them of a good scholly I got (+ in state) from a much better ranked school. They said they'll review it. So if not giving out schollys, they seem open to negotiation.

Got the phone call!!! In today. 3.95/159.
I was a little surprised with the acceptance since my LSAT wasn't stellar. Just praying for a scholarship now. I'm out of state and terrified of the sticker price.

From what I hear, getting a decent apartment for below $900 a month near Arlington is a blood sport. Best of luck.

The best places in Arlington are in south Arlington, like on Columbia Pike. Not as metro accessible, but with the cost of parking at Mason so cheap it's well worth the margin.

Is anybody going to the open house on April 14? GMU is a huge front-runner for me so I bit the bullet on a plane ticket. I would hate to commit without a visit.

I'm getting in Friday night but not leaving until Monday morning...anybody wanna split a hotel room...two queen beds?
Looking at the DoubleTree right by Reagan Airport. It's about $150 night so if you spring for $50 we'll can call it even. Metro runs right there and drops off at GMU...

My wife requests that I not share with a girl...sounds reasonable to me. :)

About the open house
Is it an all day event? I'm looking everywhere but can't find any information. (Still don't have my admit packet in the mail.)
