Does anybody know of any WL movement? My status updated from "Decision Rendered" on 3/21 to "Waitlisted" on 4/26. Has anyone else noticed this?

Meh, I think it's okay to call... as long as you dont call them like every day and be obnoxious, but I mean this is the next three years of your life and if you are seriously waiting on their decision, maybe just call and ask whats up. I mean, they can't fault you for that! (as long as you dont call every day... haha)Hibiscus wrote:I hope so. I'm just hoping it doesn't mean I was reviewed and still waitlisted. Thanks for the encouragement. I called - they are so nice! Anyway, there hasn't been any WL movement. WL review has begun and there should be some movement soon. FYI for anyone else on the WL.vkgarrett wrote:Meh, I think it's okay to call... as long as you dont call them like every day and be obnoxious, but I mean this is the next three years of your life and if you are seriously waiting on their decision, maybe just call and ask whats up. Just dropping in to give people some hope.
Got a call on Tuesday from the admissions director to let me know that I had been admitted off of the waitlist. She was super-nice! Thursday, I got a scholarship letter via email for a significant amount.
Looks like they are beginning to admit people from the WL and there's still $$$ left.

Got an e-mail notice of admittance and scholarship on the 10th. Pretty decent scholarship as well. I was never waitlisted (I even submitted my application through LSAT a day late), and my final transcript didn't get to the school until Mid-March, which is the reason for the delay, I guess. I am an URM though, so that may have had something to do with it.

I've noticed there hasn't been much conversation as of lately regarding the wait list. As a anxious prospect, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge as to if the Admissions Council is still continuing to offer spots off the wait list for the incoming Fall class. Also, does anyone have a round about idea of how many students are placed on the wait list as each time I have contacted admissions, I am told they do not have a exact number nor is it ranked. Much thanks to anyone who has any updated information on the subject matter. (Also, is anyone else having issues with their Online Status Check)?

I understood that only a few students have gotten in off the waitlist recently, and people should expect more movement after the next seat deposit date (June 1st). After talking to some other potential admitted students, a few are still deciding between 2 law schools, so it's really the second seat deposit deadline where you should start to see some movement. As far as amount of people on the waitlist, I have no idea, but you can always check out Law School Numbers to see any movement in past years/how many people report as "waitlisted". Keep in mind though that's only those who actually find LSN & take the time to report. I would have to agree and say that every single law school (including U of A) does NOT rank their waitlists, but re-evaluates. Again, this is all just things I've picked up from talking to people - nothing confirmed/etc. But my advice to you - hold out until the first week of June!!!JW90 wrote:I've noticed there hasn't been much conversation as of lately regarding the wait list. I was bumped from the waitlist too this past week, yay! But this late in the cycle...my other plans are pretty set. AZ was my initial first choice though...idk. Either way, it's great to have been accepted.
