Did you find out today? (I was under the impression nothing really happens over the weekend).
Congrats! What are your numbers?
I don't think they'll wait much longer to reject me, but we'll see.

Re: Utah 2012
Any tips on how to write an LOCI saying that I would absolutely attend if admitted (preferably without groveling)?

I'm starting to wonder if we ARE twins. Do you have any recollection of being separated at birth? Good luck getting in off the WL! Do you think we have any shot?CaptAdams wrote:We've gone from being LSAT/GPA twins to waitlist twins. WL today via snail mail.ineptimusprime wrote:Waitlisted today.

Received a letter from Utah. My status checker never updated either from 1/11 and my letter was dated 3/12. Even as of today it is not up to date so I wouldn't rely on that. Good luck to you.bulldoglaw wrote:Still no word for me...did you guys find out about the wait list in snail mail? Or by e-mail or phone call?

Walked in to the admissions office to get my residency status and everyone was extremely helpful, including the dean of admissions. Points for Utah.

They have sent out initial scholarship offers to a number of students and they have until April 2nd to decide what they are going to do. Dean Aguilar told me that after that, the scholarship committee meets for a second time to determine what they can offer to other applicants.T14HopefulAK wrote:for those that have been accepted already has everyone heard about scholly offers yet? I called last week (Thursday) and was told "You'll get a decision by the end of the month"
So... that was really helpful

I received an e-mail for a scholarship on the 21st and I have until the 9th of April to make a decision. (Completed application on night of the deadline and got acceptance via telephone last week.)asanborn wrote:They have sent out initial scholarship offers to a number of students and they have until April 2nd to decide what they are going to do. Is anyone here going to the open house on Monday? I'm not sure if dress is supposed to be casual or not.

So... for those admitted, are pretty much all of you attending? Also, to those waitlisted, how many of you are going to ride it out?

I'm not sure yet. I haven't received a decision from my first choice yet, and haven't decided what my second choice is.ineptimusprime wrote:So... for those admitted, are pretty much all of you attending? Also, to those waitlisted, how many of you are going to ride it out?

I received a large envelope from University of Utah today. I got excited when I saw it, because large envelopes usually contain acceptances and small envelopes usually contain rejections, but nope: it was a rejection. This one hurt more than any of the other ones...I'm so upset about it, I seriously feel like I'm going to throw up in my mouth.

My status still hasn't changed. It's been "In Review" since 1/31. I applied first week of November and went complete 11/11.montanamoose wrote:How long we're you dr before you got the packet?

Re: Utah 2012
I had that happen last year. I got all excited and then all it said was something along the lines of "You've been weighed, measured, and found wanting." It wasn't that harsh, but it wasn't nearly as tactful as some schools word it.bulldoglaw wrote:I received a large envelope from University of Utah today. I hope I get off the WL, and would go for sure if admitted. I'm not losing sleep over it though. I'm way excited about KU. I'm sure something better will work out for you too.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
