Not long at all for me. I submitted 10/25 and was admitted sometime in November. I remember it was when BC played NC State and then BU in hockey the following day...so sometime in the middle of the month.cpinker3 wrote:Hey everyone I might have over looked this (sorry if I did!), but how long on average did it take for them to decide on aceptance/deny from the time your file was complete/under review? Thanks.

Ah! Good luck! Mine went to decision rendered on a Thursday and I freaked out. It was only the second school I heard from. I didn't get the email until Friday, and was basically a basket case until then.checkster wrote:Status just went to Decision Rendered...guess I'll know soon...

So you got accepted after a Decision Rendered status? For the other schools I've gotten into, I didn't see a decision rendered status, just got an e-mail during the In Review status, so I kinda freaked when I saw this.

Good luck! Hopefully mine heads to decision rendered soon as well-I'm getting a little impatient since they told me it would be 2-3 weeks on January 11.

If the decision is an acceptance, do they provide scholarship info with the acceptance email?

It doesn't come until the paper acceptance, but that doesn't show up too much later, I think I got it within a week of my email acceptance.JG7773 wrote:If the decision is an acceptance, do they provide scholarship info with the acceptance email?

Anybody have an educated guess on what the COL/year in Chicago would be around?

A lot...and their tuition has gone up. Their site estimated total COA for 2011-2012 at 65k...crazy.
I'm probably in the same boat for scholarships. I just don't know that 15 or 20k with a 3.2 stip is very attractive for a school like that...pretty miserable.

I'm from the area and it wildly varies depending on where you want to live. Living near the Loop is stupidly over-priced and I don't recommend it. My advice would be to head up north to Lincoln Park. Figure $12-$14k a year for your apartment unless you're willing to go into the sketchier areas.Dead Parrot wrote:My packet came in the mail today as well. 20k a year with 3.2 stip.

Yeah, they have some balls. Apparently they don't care about attracting higher caliber students (no full scholarships).checkster wrote:A lot...and their tuition has gone up. Their site estimated total COA for 2011-2012 at 65k...crazy.

Re: DePaul 2011-2012 Cycle
Sounds about right. I'm probably going to end up at LUC, though. And living that far away from campus isn't an option for me. I want to be able to walk to class, even if it means paying ridiculous River North prices.mrtoren wrote:I'm from the area and it wildly varies depending on where you want to live. Re: DePaul 2011-2012 Cycle
Just got the scholarship packet today and my t-shirt! Love the shirt, less crazy about the offer.
$20,000 a year with the same 3.2 GPA stipulation.
Any idea on if they are going to be willing to go up on that? Not sure if I'd consider Depaul unless they get up to 25/30 per year.
