I have received 2 calls from the dean, the first was a 10 minute call about why I would like it there, and the second to ask of my most recent LSAT score on Tuesday (155). He said he would try to get back to me in a couple days.

Sorry jumping in, I'm just excited and want to know of people here while I'm there lol I'll be there April 20th tooSplitLife wrote:Nice!!! Are you excited? I'm pretty stoked, not gonna lie. I'm actually having my mother and father come with me, they have some friends in Sacramento and I want them to get at least a little bit of an idea of what I'll be a part of for the next 3 years. I think the part of the program where we can sit in on an actual class will be more informational for them than anything else.tolson1 wrote:SplitLife wrote:I'll be going April 20th

In today.
$15,000 w/ 1/3 stip, plus books.
This may be the one depending on the results I hear in April. Very Excited!

I know that the rankings don't really matter for regional schools, regardless are any of my fellow future McGeorge alums a tad disappointed that we dropped out of the top 100 for 2013?
Well, at least we're now outranking USF

What’s the difference between McGeorge’s Legal Scholars Day, Admitted Students Day and Law Day?
Thanks in advance!

Officially w/d. Loved McGeorge but had some other options that worked out better. Good luck everyone!

I hope you guys the best, but when you get to McGeorge, please tell them to stop spamming the crap out of my inbox!
Seems like a cool school, but I'm not looking for West coast. They sure send me a lot of stuff though.

Also, does anyone have anything to say about living on campus? It seems like an ok deal for a furnished rental.

The funny thing gockicks, is that EVERY section thinks THEIR section is stacked. It's the stress and competition making you paranoid. I can almost guarantee you that it's not stacked because I've had many conversations with section B and C students, all to the same result: everyone is convinced on anecdotal evidence that THEIR section is stacked.gokickrocks wrote:LWOP wrote:from what I have heard from a reliable source, yes they do stackder_saeufer wrote:There wouldn't be any purpose for doing so: McGeorge doesn't use a grading curve.Dash41 wrote:Speaking of that, does anyone know if McGeorge stacks their sections?
Legal Scholars Day today was pretty cool, and it included what I thought was a neat feature: a panel of five current students answered questions with no faculty or staff in the room, and they seemed quite honest when asked for negative thoughts as well as positive ones.
I was also impressed with how few of the admitted students today were locals--we all know McGeorge is sort of a regional school, but there were students from everywhere, many with no ties whatsoever to Sacramento.
I have the numbers to do "better" and a couple "better" admits already, but I still might end up here. I know I wouldn't regret it if I did.
As a current student, I can also say that they do stack. Another reason why I recommend negotiating your scholarship with Dean Barrett.

I've talked to some faculty members and they have never been able to confirm if sections are stacked, although they wonder. I feel like if they don't even know, then the sections probably aren't stacked.mavregade wrote:The funny thing gockicks, is that EVERY section thinks THEIR section is stacked. I talked to a friend who is a 3L and kept her scholly the whole time. She didn't think they were stacked, she is also pretty smart.
You also have the option to regain your scholly if you loose it for a year.

I sent an e-mail earlier today to hold a spot for April 20th. As long as it isn't already full, I'll be there!

Was waitlisted! Agh! This is what I get for being an impatient person.
has anyone been admitted off the waitlist yet? Or former students been waitlisted and then got accepted? What are my odds?
Thinking about sending another LOR (only sent 2 at first) and an updated transcript upon graduation from my current school. I really need to get into McGeorge.

Well it looks like my plans to go to Chapman have been thwarted, and I am now going to McGeorge! I got a call from admissions yesterday giving me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Anyone else planning on living on campus? It seems like the best deal, especially not having to deal with driving to class everyday.
