Has anyone heard back yet from the U?

In as well. They send you an email telling you to check the status checker and the acceptance letter is there.

They don't have a status checker. I called the admissions office after about a month of going complete and the lady told me to check MyUM page the following Monday "for some good news" lol.

When you get accepted, they send out an e-mail that directs you to check your MyUM account. For what it's worth, my e-mail came like a week after it said I had been accepted on MyUM.

Is anyone seriously considering UMiami? I'm finishing my undergrad at UF now and I'm applying to a lot of FL schools but I think UMiami is the only school I'd consider in state.

I am applying to a lot of FL schools also. Why are you not considering UF? Tuition is much cheaper!

Awesome! and bmp...you did your undergrad at CU?! I love Boulder and I'm applying there as well...it's a bit of a reach for me so we'll see what happens.

UF is a great school, it is highly ranked and VERY cheap for FL residents but it has its drawbacks. It's in a small college town that revolves around the University of Florida...some people find that appealing though some don't. Many of my friends who are law students here complain about the standard of living, because it is such a cheap city...that is exactly what you get. I think Gainesville was great for me as an undergraduate student, but I'm going on 23 and I'd like to live in a city where I can explore more opportunities, both academic and cultural. I'm definitely applying and I'd consider UF my top choice in FL if UMiami didn't give me any $.

I am just finishing my ug now at CU. Boulder is amazing but kind of like what you said about Gville..small town..instead it's very expensive..and too many young kids at the bars..no diversity etc. I am ready to be in a big city again! I am from Miami/Orlando and ready to be back in FL. Love Boulder but time to move on.

I was just updated that my application was under review and is now on hold for further review. anyone else have any insight into this status?

I got in last week. It's a shame scholly money doesn't come until January. I think the U has a good lock on Miami but FIU is up and coming. The downside to the U is the price. Price is a major minus. Unless I get a big scholly UF looks like the winner.

Just got in today, now the wait begins to hear about scholly money

so i submitted on 10/27 and havent received any email from UM saying they received it or anything. is this normal?

The UM account is the status checker. I submitted my app on 11/4 and I got an email today letting me know that my electronic app has been received and that I can monitor the status by creating a UM account.
"In support of the University effort to "go green", and to better keep you
informed, your admission decision letter(s) will be posted only on your
myUM account."

Anyone else kind of turned off by UM's approach here? I don't understand why we need our own CaneID. Why not just do an LSAC status check and send an acceptance email/letter? Also, the acceptance letter is totally impersonal, it's like they're not even trying to lure their best applicants into the pool!

got an email from UM to check my myum account for some important good news. I hadnt even made a myum yet but i created one and It had a big congratulations and acceptance once i finally got signed in.

Definitely my number one choice if I get some decent scholarship money. Otherwise, I'll have to weigh my options.

Went complete just under two weeks ago.

Submitting my app tomorrow (pay day). Northeast Ohio born and raised but need the heck out of the rust belt. Please hold off on the LeBron jokes (I get the vibe I'll get 'em all 3 years I'd be at The U if I went there). Best of luck everyone!!

I had the same message sent to me through my caneid. Does anyone know if this is indicating a waitlisting or just that my app was under further review because an addendum was submitted to my file by LSAC last week?

What are your numbers? If they are both below median it might be like a hold where they review your application after seeing who else applies.
