I'm not holding my breath, but maybe this is good news for those of use being held at 1st committee....

Could be, but I was held at 1st committee for a few weeks as well. Good luck to those waiting!

For anyone that was dinged, did you have something in your letter encouraging you to apply as a transfer next year? Maybe it was just a hint of encouragement at the end of a conclusive rejection.

not particularly strong for SC...164/3.3 non URM but I have strong softs and am a USC undergrad. Honestly I wasn't even planning to apply until I found out it was free for USC students/grads, probably wouldn't have gone anyway w/o money...was surprised to be a "soft hold" at all haha!

Complete since 2/6. I wonder if there's a method to their madness... Or if they just can't be bothered to go through my app and will just send me a ding letter at the end. At this point of time, I'm just making alternate plans so if I get in, great. If not, no biggie.

If you're on the WL and decide to send another letter of recommendation do you submit it through LSAC or directly to the school?

For $0.45 you can do both.

Send it directly to USC, don't worry about LSAC. In the waitlist email USC provides an address to send supplementary application materials. It would be good to follow up with snail mail hard copies as well, that way someone has to physically open it, read what it is, and file it. Also, don't forget to do the video interview by April 27th.

my application went complete 1/23 -- no movement since then...
is this a bad sign?
are they not getting back to people until after their first enrollment deposit is due on may 1st?

I went from Complete to Final Review with tonight's update. Not sure this is a good thing.

Apparently they can... I'd checked around 7 CDT and was still Complete at that point.

What time does Law Day begin tomorrow? Anyone have any idea about the timing for registration?

I went from "1st committee read" to "final review" without going to 2nd committee. Don't know if that's good or bad. I've been in "final review" since the 16th.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
