Went by the Admission Office today. They told me that they don't rank wait listed applications. Instead as spots become available they will review wait listed applicants and make offers. Also, they said that they will not make any more offers after August 13. The person I spoke with also said that they will notify if you get off the wait list via phone call.

I have heard rumors that UA tends to disproportionately favor out of state students in order to charge higher tuition. How many of us on the wait list are in state students? Anybody else think there may be a kernel of truth to this rumor?
