Waitlisted as well. This is the thread for the waitlist last cycle:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&start=50
It appears our chances are between none and minuscule, especially if Wake received 38% more applicants than last year. Not to be pessimistic or anything

thats last years my understanding of the applicants being up is that also applicants applied to more schools this year too so overall a smaller applicant pool would mean that the waitlists would trickle down from the top

Greting TLSers~
There's no way to tell at this point how much we'l use the waitlist. It all depends on how many folks accept our initial offer. We are playing it pretty conservative this year which usually means that we will use the waitlist to fill in the class once first deposits are in. Last year is no indication of how things will go this year since we were overenrolled by 25+ people from the initial deposit date all the way until orientation. When we decided to add another section to accommodate the bigger class we admitted one person off the waitlist. This is not a typical cycle. This year I'd expect we'll be actively using the waitlist by the time second deposits come around in mid-June. Again there's no way to be sure.
Also it is our policy to drop applicants from the waitlist if we figure out there's no chance you'll get in. Often we won't know for sure until August, but I've dropped people in the past after each deposit. For the time being if you are on the waitlist there is hope for a spot.

I had a question regarding housing. I was looking for information on their website but only found it on their LLM section.
http://llm.law.wfu.edu/life/housing/. Does anyone know if this "University Owned" housing across the street from the law school is open to JD students as well? That would be extraordinarily convenient.

They'll have a proper housing list up for JD students at
http://law.wfu.edu/housing/ in a few weeks. I know several people who found places to live from that list. If you're definitely coming to Wake, I would urge you to consider coming to House Hunt this summer if possible... It's a good way to find somewhere to live and to make friends before orientation.
As to whether the university housing is open to JD students, I'm not sure. I don't know anyone who lives in university-owned housing, so I would guess probably not.

If you got accepted last Friday and have still not received an email with information about scholarships, does that mean you weren't awarded any scholarships? I got the update on status checker and an acceptance email, but all it said about scholarships was that if I'm awarded one I'll hear via email. But like I said, I haven't yet. So does that mean I didn't get one?

Mcr - My acceptance email had scholarship info included and is the only communication I've had with Wake since applying, so unfortunately I would say that at the moment there is likely not an offer.

Dean Shively posted an excellent overview of Wake's negotiating 'philosophy' a few pages back in this thread.

I am starting to get a little worried that my status checker hasn't changed from "application complete, ready for review". I applied at the beginning of january so maybe I am letting my nervousness and excitement get the best of me. Just wondering what others think about this....

The dean indicated that tomorrow would be decisions for those who applied pre 12/30 so you probably still have a week to wait

I got mine about three days after the status checker showed that I was admitted. If it has been over a week, you might want to give them a call and verify your address/if in fact they have mailed you a packet yet.

It took me a little over a week to receive it in the mail

Have just received a letter in the mail that said exactly what the email said. No packet yet.

Did anyone else expecting a decision today have an updated review date on their status checker? I know they updated them last week before decisions, and I was one of the several files held over to this week so I'm curious as to if they did that again
