Emory is such a dream I can hardly consider it anymore. Who knows, maybe dreams can come true...

I feel you....

In other good, or at least satisfying, news: spoke to admissions and they assured me every one will know their status by the 27th and if you have not heard by email or letter by the 27th, you can call the admissions office and find out by phone.

I'm just checking in now, but I got my acceptance packet last week. 162/3.9 and received a 60k scholarship, which was a surprise

Seems like Emory has been especially generous with scholarships this year. People are predictably getting 60k offers around 3.8/162+ and last year a 4.0/163 was worth only 24k. Wonder why?

Possibly the increase you see is simply an increase in forum popularity (ie. lawschoolnumbers and top-law-schools.com)

I'm choosing to believe that they have less high-numbered applicants and/or more high-number withdrawals this year.. and that they will soon be very happy with my med/med numbers...

This might partly be because Emory doesn't just base it's scholarships on numbers. I remember a poster who applied my cycle a few years ago got nothing while his friend got a scholarship with similar numbers. When he asked about it, he was told that there are some non numerical factors that Emory looks at when deciding on scholarships.

I didn't receive that email... nor did I receive a rejection email as I know at least one friend did... no emails at all.. don't know if that's good or bad.

Dean Rosenzweig posted that we should have a decision by Mar. 27th - so unless he posts something different I expect to find within the week - hopefully sooner rather than later

I sorta feel like the people who got the email saying their app is in the final review stage and will receive a decision by the 23rd will be the next to find out, and the rest of us will be after that. Just speculating. At this point, what's another week anyway?
