Was going to until I remembered it's my friend's birthday, and I made previously plans. Have fun if you do go, though!

Does anyone know how much Houston usually uses the waitlist? Just curious as to to what extend U of H traditionally pulls people off it.

I just went into review as of yesterday (working over the weekend!!). How long did y'all wait to hear something? This is my #1 so I'm crossing my fingers...

I'm assuming this is for the part time program if you're only just now going into review. I only waited about 2 weeks before getting my acceptance into the part time program (submitted 3/7, accepted 3/22), as did someone else above that applied to the part time program, but we are both at or above the mean for the full time program. We also both received scholarship offers just 2 days after our acceptance. Hope that helps!

For FT it took me just under a month. Submitted mid January and was accepted mid February. Good luck.

Starting to get a little impatient, admitted 3/8, check every day for scholarship info. 175/~2.9

Was I just overly optimistic in assuming that a 175 would all but guarantee me some scholarship money to a school of this caliber? Thursday will be the 3 week date from my acceptance, is it too early to email them directly and ask what the situation is? I don't want to shoot myself in the foot but I'd like to have all of the information in front of me so I can make an informed decision.

Thanks in advance for any personal experience/advice.

My LSAT is not as good as yours, but both my numbers are over UHs 75th and I got nothing. Was admitted in mid January. I heard that the state cut the schools budget dramatically this year so who knows, but I'm not optimistic.

You could probably do better.

http://lawschoolnumbers.com/whimsical

theres more on LSN but I didn't look much harder, I just remember this person and have heard of a lot more splitters getting into Northwestern and other T14

Anyway, either they're taking longer to send you scholarship info or they are out of money. Seems they are shorting everyone this year. Also, I wouldn't think it is too early, deposit deadlines are coming up a lot of them are on 4/1 so UH needs to hurry up if they want you there! :)

With a 175 LSAT, they probably dont think you will matriculate. Yield Protection.

I was admitted last Friday (3/23?) and received scholarship information Saturday (3/24) - I think it's appropriate to ask, especially if you have leverage.

I didn't receive as much as I had hoped from UH and was able to use a UT scholarship as leverage to increase the amount. So there's always hope for getting more money!

Where did you all hear about the Lucky Strike event? Was it in a separate email? I didn't see it in the ASD agenda or anything..

Probably should have mentioned before, but I didn't even think about it. It's for Dean's scholarship recipients. Sorry for not mentioning it earlier.

So who went to the Admitted Students Day? I went so I was wondering if maybe I saw you or something.

I was the one in the greenman suit tossing volley balls at the dean while he tried to teach the mock class.

I've had the "file in review" status since 3/25, applied 2/1. GPA 3.4, LSAT low 150. Why am I not getting rejected already???
