We're very very similar. I'm not completely sure when I went up for review, I just know I got updated on the 14th. Did you give them your number?wightjm wrote:I went complete 2/1, review 2/7, OOS 159/3.6Saint_Seer wrote:The 14th. Good luck. I hope things work out for you.
The toughest thing is that UT is looking for an entering class of 150, so they may be limited as to how many more people they can accept... but hopefully if your numbers and softs are good enough, you'll get in.

@Texag- I went complete on 2/3, accepted 2/8. @Seminole- thanks for saying that about top 25, but I'm a single mom with a toddler trying to put myself through school, I pretty much have to have a full ride in order to make it.

Re: University of Tennessee applying for fall 2012
Got my phone call on 2/15 that I was accepted and was told letter would be mailed out that day. Status checker shows under "mailings" a 2/27 date. But that's it. Just the 2/27 date with nothing beside indicating what's going to be mailed. Anybody have this?
I'm wondering if this means by acceptance letter will not be mailed out until 2/27 (which would contradict what I was told over the phone). Or, if the 2/27 date could be referring to when the scholly info would be sent out.
Of course, it could mean absolutely nothing and I'm reading too much into it.

Don't read too much into it. Its just a mailing. You'll probably get a Tennessee Law magazine or something. I got about 3 "mailings" before I received a scholarship. And it doesn't seem like scholarhsip info is being sent out too sone after acceptances..

Go Big Orange!
Well, I just got rejected at my #3 University of Washington about an hour ago. I'm waitlisted at my #1 Notre Dame. I haven't heard from my #2 UGA. But I'm in at Tennessee (my #4), and I found out that the school will be completely free with my Post 9/11 GI Bill if I can get in-state residence. I understand there is a precedence for allowing military to get this. If this is the case, and if I don't hear from Notre Dame, looks like I will be seeing you guys in the Fall.
Very excited to visit the school next month.

Re: University of Tennessee applying for fall 2012
I submitted my in-state tuition app this morning and just received the email from Ms. Hatcher notifying me I've been re-classified as a resident. I recommend calling her and going over your specifics, but getting in-state (as a married vet) was far easier than I thought from reading previous cycles' threads and the actual residency requirements.h2oplyer7 wrote:Go Big Orange!

Sorry to hear about UW and I'm pulling for you at UGA and ND, although it'd be great to have a wimpy Air Force guy to push around from time to time. Especially when AF continues its dominance over West Point for the CiC Trophy.

Nope. OCS. However, I have bitter memories of laying in the mud, sand, and rain while watching aircraft cruise comfortably overhead, so any measure of vengance I can have against you people helps.h2oplyer7 wrote:Are you a West Pointer? After an acceptance phone call Monday last week, I received a letter from them that was just an acceptance letter- I'd read this thread, but still had been hoping for scholarship info lol. Just waiting for that to start making some decisions.

UTK typically does phone calls for acceptance. Did you give them your phone number? Have you checked voice mail?
I got my phone call last week but I'm still waiting for the official letter.

Re: University of Tennessee applying for fall 2012
Appreciate the optimism, but Im 99% certain its a rejection letter. My status date has been without a heartbeat since the beginning of October and I haven't talked to the admissions office once, though I do think I wrote a good essay.reinbowbrite wrote:UTK typically does phone calls for acceptance.
