Re: Boston University c/o 2015 Applicants
did anyone else have a heart attack when they first started reading the email today? it starts "Dear X, thank you for your application to Boston University School of Law. We apologize...."
i know its not the same as "we regret to inform you" but i definitely read it like a rejection letter.

You got an email? What did it say? I applied a while ago and it still hasn't gone completesumner wrote:did anyone else have a heart attack when they first started reading the email today? it starts "Dear X, thank you for your application to Boston University School of Law. We apologize...."

Mine has no gone complete either..and I applied almost 2 weeks ago. BU made an update to their application after some of us already applied...so the e-mail asked for us to answer the additional question. It was about C&F

Did it seem like this email was meant for all applicants or just a subset. Say, people who responded yes to one of the C&F questions?
Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not answer.
I'm just worried because I didn't receive anything.

To people applying early - will I receive notice when they have received my signed early decision contract?

No, I think it was only for applicants who submitted the application before the "new" C&F was posted to the LSAC application. I don't have any C&F issues, so I don't think if you chose "yes" has anything to do with it.minnbills wrote:Did it seem like this email was meant for all applicants or just a subset. Yeah, I got an email asking if I've asking "Have you ever been subject to disciplinary action or proceedings for personal misconduct at any college or university you have attended?". I was pretty sure I filled out that portion of the application.

Hi, I'm an international applicant.
I'm currently on ED application now (not finished yet) and i have a question.
BU says that ED applicants should sign and send the supplemental ED contract form but where can I find this form?
Does it appear upon finishing the application?
And I have to send it to the Office of Admissions, right?

Re: Boston University c/o 2015 Applicants
Would people mind sharing what they're EDing with? Should I put in an application (deadline is November 15, right?) for this cycle? I'm currently at 3.91/165 and retaking in December and was planning on taking another year off and (hopefully) bumping my LSAT a few points and applying at the beginning of the cycle for 2013-14, even though I really don't want to take another year off.
If I were to apply for this cycle and not get in (which I assume would be very likely, though again it's hard to tell since it's the first ED cycle), do you think applying and getting rejected would impact me negatively for next cycle? Or do you think that with another year behind me (including extra WE, a better LSAT, etc.) it wouldn't matter?
I have a fee waiver as well for this cycle, so I don't know if I should just go for it if I having nothing to lose.

Also, just to be purely speculative, are there any useful stats on EDing in general? Or are all schools kind of different in their own respects? What are some examples of how medians break down for EDing at schools like Michigan or UVA? How about turnaround times? Have people been told when to expect a decision with that November 15 deadline?
