Samesies. Particularly wondering if any of the public interest scholarships have gone yet.

Bump.
Any idea of timeframe on merit/pi scholarships?

is there any pattern of how many updates a person gets before they are notified of a decision?

Has anyone heard anything about the Public Interest Scholarships? Is it reasonable to assume that if we were still being considered, we would have heard something by now?

Got a letter in the mail today from BU. Thought it was scholly info, turned out to be a packet about studying abroad.... :x

Yep, not to worry. I was just accepted a few days ago after months of silence, and my acceptance packet came with a scholarship offer of $75,000. I am not URM, and have only slightly above average stats for BU. There is still hope :)

I've also been wondering this. A few people on this thread got snail mail dings for the scholly, and I know from a different admitted student day that they've awarded some of the schollys already, but I think those of us who have heard nothing are still up in the air. Hopefully we'll hear in the next week or so? I tried checking last year's thread to see when they found out, but I couldn't find any info.

I haven't been awarded any merit aid from either BC or BU (where I applied for their PI schollys), so I'm wondering if they're waiting to make a decision on the PI application before offering other scholarship money? Did anyone ITT apply for the PI scholly but get other merit aid while still waiting to hear about the PI thing? I love both of these schools and if either gave me money I would go in a heartbeat.

I just wanted to update my info by saying I finally found the relevant posts in last year's BU thread, and it looks like PI Scholars were notified the first week of March (around March 3-5), with several TLSers getting it. So far I've seen a few dings but no one here who actually got it, so maybe they're running late or I missed something? They also had at least one waitlist for the scholly, which surprised me.

Notified today via mail that I was declined the PI Scholarship, however, I was placed on the "waitlist" for the scholarship. The letter says that they won't have a solid idea who will accept the scholarship until after the April 15th deposit deadline. So......if I want a chance to receive the scholarship, I'll have to deposit and then hope to get off the waitlist. Really!? Another "waitlist" and a $500.00 deposit just for the chance I'll get off the waitlist. Depressing.

I'm really hoping this is not the case as I was starting to warm up to the idea of going to school in the tower. I was a 2/29 update acceptance and didn't receive any scholly info in my acceptance either. I really hope we hear something before deposit deadlines

Good man. Also, fwiw there are only a couple of non-urm's who have received scholly money on lsn. It looks as if they haven't done much work in this matter yet so have hope.

Is anyone going to the reception tonight in LA? And if so, do you think that the people at BU are slightly insane for scheduling it at 6pm in Downtown LA? Do they want everyone to show up late or what?

Ah well, I know I'll be one of the people arriving fashionably late. Of course, probably a lot of you are college students on spring break or something, so I suppose you have a few hours to burn in traffic...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
