I, for one, would love photos and more insight into the campus feel; I'm in West Africa and won't be able to tour anything before deciding where to attend...vpintz wrote:First, congrats on the acceptance! I realize that it's unrealistic to expect an education without a hint of an agenda behind it, regardless of the proponent, but I was personally overwhelmed by the atmosphere. Again, bear in mind that these are my observations and impressions of the facilities, and not judgements of the students.
I'll be visiting campus (one of my good friends goes there for UG) again this March, so I can take pictures and stuff and post them here if anybody would like me to do that :]
Also, for those still waiting on PILS, I got my letter confirming that I did NOT receive it this past week. At least they doubled my scholarship $$!

Agreed! I was deferred on the last day possible, and haven't heard anything since. It's frustrating because it is the only school I am waiting to hear back from and could impact my final decision. Fingers crossed we hear soon!

Seriously. I applied in September. Went complete in October. Deferred in early January. NEU is the last decision I'm waiting on, and it's frustrating.chunkers24 wrote:Agreed! I'm visiting campus again next week (going to Boston for spring break) so I'm hoping that might sway the adcomm into making a decision. (I doubt it, but a girl can dream...)

I looked at the LSN data for previous years and unfortunately it looks like they don't turn to the EA deferreds until <sigh> March 21 at the earliest.

Well, some people who were deferred this year have already heard back. Although with my luck, I bet I hear April 15th... le sigh

+1. Although tbf they didn't wait until the January 15th deadline to defer me, so there is hope. I know it's unlikely, but I'm really hoping that my visit next week will help speed up my decision.chunkers24 wrote:Well, some people who were deferred this year have already heard back. Yup, it could be very different this year, because they need qualified students. They've accepted way fewer people on LSN than last year, yet presumably they have the same number of seats to fill.

Re: Northeastern c/o 2015 applicants
Northeastern was the first school I heard back from...I applied right after the Dec LSAT scores came out and got my acceptance notification within 2 weeks. I though having heard from them so soon meant that they were impressed by my application and was going to offer me some scholarship money...but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I was told scholarship offers are included in one's official acceptance letter. Has anyone had a different situation? Is it worth negotiating? I plan on attending the Admitted STudents Open House. Any tips?
