Nope! Took December, applied mid-Jan, still received scholarship.seancris wrote:I'll be taking the October exam, and I'll probably send in the application before Nov. 1st. Will that be "late" for scholarships?

They cover the hotel, ride to/from the Roanoke airport, and up to $300 in travel expenses.

Ah thanks...I'm glad they cover the hotel cause I procrastinate on the tickets and they shot up to near 600 so I'm gonna need the 300 to cover thatwvuchip wrote:They cover the hotel, ride to/from the Roanoke airport, and up to $300 in travel expenses.

One last question...do u think that the travel reimbursement would cover flying in lewisburg west va...it's about an hour outside of Lexington...all flights for me into Roanoke would cost almost 1000... I emailed Brett earlier about coming in a few days early and he said that fine so I would assume flying I to a different airport would be alright as well

The reimbursement guidelines seem pretty liberal so I'd imagine that would be fine. Wouldn't hurt to email or ask on the Facebook group though.
Plus, speaking from personal experience the Lewisburg airport is really nice.

If you're going to the ASW this weekend, take some pictures and consider posting them on flickr! I've been looking for pictures of Lexington, W&L, and the law school facilities in particular but haven't found too much. Just a slide show on the W&L law website (mostly of faculty members), and whatever flickr pictures of Lexington/W&L I can find (which mostly consists of nature pictures and Lee Chapel).
Definitely share some pics!

On the wait list and this is my top choice, I visited the campus and Lexington and thought it was awesome. Talking with Brett was definitely a rewarding experience IMO. I would love to get in here, but am definitely not confident whatsoever. Here's to getting off the wait list!

Posted this elsewhere also buuuuttt.....
Probably be sending in my deposit IF this weekend goes well (although that actually isn't a big if).
I know housing is affordable, but is it plentiful (i.e. a number of places to choose from still). I know down @ VT if you didn't get your place by a certain point you were kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel. I wouldn't mind roommates, but I'd also almost like to live more in a house/townhouse in Lex (really want a yard for my pooch, and so I can grill) and wasn't sure what the prospects were on this front.
Anyone out there with some idea about this?

I went there as an undergrad and housing is indeed plentiful. It depends on whether you want to live in walking distance to campus or driving. Houses in the "country" are usually newer and in better condition, but there are definitely a lot of options.RunninRoo wrote:Posted this elsewhere also buuuuttt.....

Many of the landlords in town tend to prefer law students because they assume law students are more responsible. Undergrads sign leases very early, but you can definitely still find housing easily.

Even though I went 2 weeks ago, I am extremely jealous of all of you. Hopefully the weather is fantastic! Have fun and hope to meet some of you in the fall.

I think you have a better chance than possibly meeting everybody is going this weekend, unless you mean literally EVERYBODY.. Yea should be beautiful this weekend (they just changed the forecast to rain so lets hope that holds off).. I'll have to bring my running gear so I can sneak in a run Saturday morning before the day's events kick off.

It's a closed group and my request to join hasn't been approved yet. It might have something to do with the fact that I'm not n admitted student, just interested in applying next year lol.SPE155 wrote:I found a few pics of the campus and law school on the admitted students facebook group.
