Re: IOWA 2012
ISIS and status checker are separate. Your ISIS will say that until a while after you get a decision. You should get a real status checker in a few days or so.apeopleshistory wrote:Mine is through ISIS and says my decision is in progress.
I think 2 weeks, but don't quote me on that.neeko wrote: If you remember, how long did it take to go from in review to decision?

Any scholarship chance? If not, I don't think that I'm going to apply. Fee waiver or not.
Looked at your profile, duh. Out of state.
I was too lazy to backwards compute your LSAT, but you're above the median GPA. If you're over the median LSAT by a few points, I'd expect some money. Likely will not be a full, but I think you'll get offered something later in the cycle.
ETA: Also, if Illinois is your top choice, I'd definitely apply to Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, WUSTL, and Wisconsin as backup plans in case the median fudging scandal really bites Illinois in the ass, either ranking or hiring wise.

ISIS is the official status checker, you will find out if you are accepted by clicking on 'admissions profile' within ISIS. I called the law school and asked, and that is what they told me. There is no other 'real' status checker

They sent me a checker in addition to ISIS. It looks pretty real to me.Trojan228 wrote:ISIS is the official status checker, you will find out if you are accepted by clicking on 'admissions profile' within ISIS. Well, that's good news because ISIS says "in progress," while generic status checker still says "Application received."Trojan228 wrote:ISIS is the official status checker, you will find out if you are accepted by clicking on 'admissions profile' within ISIS. @nickjive The difference is that the "generic" status checker will update at every stage of the process. When the committe has your applicaiton materials it will change to "in review" and then let you know of the decision. Your ISIS status will say In Progress until you get the final decision, and it's usually updated later than the "generic" one. ISIS is the last place I'd check, and I'd only use it as a confirmation.

Link to the status checker that isn't ISIS:

Yeah I definitely did not get any special checker email or link. But my email says to check ISIS for status, and expect word by mail immediately once a decision is made. Did you get that special checker link via email? Thanks for any info.

Howdy, fellow prospective Iowegians. I'm in review here, too. Scheduled to retake the LSAT in December, but may not actually need to follow through with it if I hear back good (enough) news from Iowa before that. Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later.

Mine looks like it was complete before it was received. This is a strange checker.

Nah man, I've been playing modern warfare 3 all day. Went to the University of Arizona; plenty of sunshine and parties there and I'm excited to visit again this spring for some basketball games. On days like this I miss 355 days of sunshine a year

Nah man, I've been playing modern warfare 3 all day. If you are going to have almost 2000 posts on here and act as a sort of guide, then by all means help out. But your response is too vague to help me out. I didn't get some link, and the one you posted my browser finds incorrect. Personally, I doubt I will venture to these strange waters again once (hopefully) I am accepted. I just want to know what this weird checker is, although it doesn't seem to be providing anyone any sort of useful help.
I do appreciate the advice, but you really havent given any. I have no idea what 'FTFgoingtoabigtenschool' means.
The status checker is the same LSAC checker that almost every other school uses.
