Dear Boston College,

Yes! They would be more willing to take a risk on an application that has a face and personality. Meeting them wont create miracles but it can help if your application is on the fence.

Just curious - how do you meet with these people to discuss your application?

Thank you, I have signed up for a tour! I'm very excited to see the law school in person it has been years since I have been there.

Anybody with any pointers of things to say/do to impress upon the school my desire to go there/help my chances as a borderline candidate?

Exactly what tuco said. Sign up for a tour, info secession, etc. and stand out. Make sure you introduce yourself to the people running it, stay after to talk and ask questions. Just making a positive impression can give them the encouragement to move your app to the accepted pile when they were uncertain before. I wouldn't bring up your scores or anything, just use the interaction as a supplement to your application. As a work-study in the admissions office at the law school at my UG institution, this was the advice the dean of admissions gave me for my reach/splitter schools. It can only help.

I agree. BC doesn't seem to do the gradual releases many schools do.

My app just updated to 11/18 from some date in October, both for "under review", so maybe they'll start making decisions soon?

Does application complete mean that it has already been in review? What's the difference?

No, complete just means they received all of the necessary materials for your application to go into review. It should say "in review" or "under review" when it is actually being reviewed

Anyone else have their status date change while under review? I went under review 10/6 and it updated to 11/18 on Friday.

Anyone know if BC does solicited waivers? I'm considering throwing an app their way to bump scholly offers with BU, but don't want to spend $70+ to do it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
