Numbers, IS vs OOS, softs, Personal Statements, ED vs RD, who reads your application, etc. Basically, anything and everything.

Are they not making phone calls anymore?

Also, when did you go complete?

I went complete early October with numbers above both medians and still haven't heard a word. If I don't hear anything in the next week or so I may just withdraw.

Mostly because I'm losing interest in attending, and for various reasons need to go ahead and start making plans for next year.

When you know you won't be attending, it's also a courteous thing to do for both admissions offices and for fellow applicants as it a: cuts down on admissions workload and b: potentially frees up a spot for another applicant.

This is going to be a dumb question, but are all applicants to UCLA Law automatically considered for merit scholarships? Or do we have to fill out some kind of scholarship app?

Also, would it look bad NOT to write the Programmatic Contribution essay?

Just got my call :)

I'm a non CA resident (east coaster!) and I sent my app in early Sept, went complete some time in Nov (sorry, don't remember when). Stats are in profile, also got $$ in phone call. Supposed to get the letter later this week. PM if you want any further details.

Good Luck everyone!

Yes you are automatically considered for merit scholarship and usually notified with acceptance. Unless, as in my case they let you
Know that their nominating you for one of their fellowships (essentially scholarships). So there's no extra app.

Also, it won't look bad to not write a programmatic contribution essay if your going straight from undergrad most of the time. But if youve worked in finance for two years,
then you could use that to your advantage and speak about how you'll be able to add another perspective to the business law program. Thats what I got when I asked someone in admissions back when I was working on my UCLA app.

Good luck.

I didn't write the programmatic, but I did write a 3-4 page essay detailing my interest in their PI program. I hope they consider that the two intrinsically overlap.
