I really doubt that it will have any effect at all. I don't think that they care how much we want to go there. As another poster just said, we really have no reason to believe that UF looks beyond the numbers.

They assign SRTs to contact prospective students. Don't be afraid. Ask questions. We're probably just as weirded out by it as you are.

That doesn't make any sense. Median + Top 25% = January reject? There has to be something else to the equation... character issues? An asshole professor wrote a really negative LoR?

This is the first time we're hearing of a rejection, and those numbers are really strong for UF. I don't get this at all.

Seriously? I thought they didn't even send rejections this early! Could it be a C&F issue? It doesn't seem like your numbers should be rejected at all, let alone this early.

By the way, can anyone explain the index system they use?

The index is a formula to rank candidates. Look back a couple of pages for the formula and a better explanation.

Standard TLS advice, but have you considered a retake? That's a steller GPA and you could get into some top schools with it.

Schools definitely care about C&F they ask many of those questions because if you can't be admitted to the Bar with certain issues, then they won't let you in.

They both called offering to answer questions...one alumni and one 3L (who coincidentally was my financial accounting TA when I was a sophmore). I never answer my phone so they left voicemails. Both were double gators like I would be if I went there, which is the reason I don't have much to ask since I have several friends at the law school that I go to with questions. But it was nice of UF to have 2 people call me.

got the calls too. Slightly annoyed by them but I know its a nice gesture. Had nothing to ask them for the same reason, I have launch of friends at the school

So what does everyone think about these tuition increases? Every year in-state tuition has increased approximately 15% and out of state tuition has increased approximately 6.5%. Do you think the trend will continue this year, making tuition $21,515/$40,548?! Do you think in-state is still a good deal considering the small scholarships they give?
