In today via email. I'll almost definitely be attending unless Cornell suprises me and lets me in. This was one of my choice schools so I'm ecstatic. 169/3.07

Uh, I sent in my app last Saturday, and just got in via email. And I'm really excited! But also stunned. I wasn't even going to apply, but I'm a sucker for a Valentine's Day fee waiver.
Soo ... ASW this weekend? Haha.
Seriously, California schools, WTF?

170 2.6 White Male, but various softs and a GPA addendum why I got raped so bad. But I know all they saw was the 170 anyway. Either way.Jsa725 wrote:Congrats!!! Long-time reader, first-time poster. Just received my acceptance decision via email today (UNBELIEVABLY SHOCKED right now).
And I am so very excited, but for any of you who have just recently been admitted (2/15 to now), did your acceptance email mention anything about receiving information via scholarships at a later point? My email had nothing in it about scholarship consideration or anything.

Is your acceptance also in status checker?

Yes, mine says"Based on your excellent record, the Scholarship Committee is considering your file for one of our Scholars in Law Awards." in the first paragraph. However, I did read the entire 2011 thread the other day, and some people still got scholarships without this. Don't think it's a sign if you don't have it, and if you have high LSAT, probably a better chance.jdhopefully wrote:Long-time reader, first-time poster. Ha well the LSAT score was the application hindrance, which is why I'm surprised I even got in. Well, thank you so much! I appreciate it! I suppose I have to just sit back and wait.

Well, Wash U has one of the highest endowments in the country, and if you have a over 75% GPA, you might see something your way. Good luck.

Well, if you wait until after the first deposit, there will be a lot of people they realize won't be using, and if you have a scholarship offer from another school, the better.jdhopefully wrote:I may see what I can do, but I don't want to seem ungracious. Just say something along the lines of you are incredibly excited about the prospect of attending, however law school is such a financial burden, especially in this economy, and you have a wonderful offer from XXX school, if there is any unused scholarship money, you would be ready to withdraw all other applications.
It's not ungracious, it's just being honest.

I'll probably go for the next one, whenever that is. I'm all for spur-of-the-moment trips, but it's 2,000 miles and a zillion-dollar plane ticket away right now.Liquox wrote:hehehe, same story bro. hoping for a nice chunk of $$.Ubermaus wrote:Uh, I sent in my app last Saturday, and just got in via email. Some time in March is when they start sending WLs, and there's a spike of acceptances around that point too, so I'd wait until then to really worry.tooswolle wrote:Would it be safe to assume that if you haven't heard back you're pretty much screwed?
