Nope, well under, and did ask for more, and didn't get it. Have strong softs, GPA addendum (33 hours of College credit in high school that I withdrew from or underperformed since I was just taking random courses, as well as a set of withdraws with a changed major in UG, and got 3.5 in my major in UG), few years real WE, and over achieved at other schools scholarship-wise. Felt according to past allocations that I got less than half of what I should've, but hey, oh well. Still riding out other waitlists for T14, so it's all good. Wash U would admit felons if it raised their medians, and I'm okay with that. Just a numbers game, and I want higher numbers in my Scholarships
I'm a little confused by the scholarships I've seen this cycle for WUSTL, and it makes me think softs might be a factor to some degree. My numbers are similar to Dietcoke with a slightly lower LSAT, and got (it sounds like) significantly more $ than he was offered, and was also given a very slight increase upon asking for more. I also saw Wily who has virtually identical numbers got slightly more $ than I was offered. The thing that's puzzling is that my softs are average at best, with a pretty strong undergrad and a few years of relatively blah work experience. Anyone have any insight on this? Strength of PS or something else that, according to TLS collective wisdom "doesn't matter," coming into play here?
ETA- I'm pretty happy with my scholly all things considered, so I'm not sour grapes, just curious.
They are pretty much formula based if you look at LSN. If you got more it is presumably because your GPA was higher and even if to you it appears only slightly higher if yours is above a cutoff they care about and someone else's is not, you are more valuable to them. URMs are on a complete different scale though and that could also be part of it.
I think they have been more open to negotiating this cycle though...
Also withdrew today, good luck to you guys on the WL.

So you're saying there's a difference between 2.6 and 2.65 and 2.7? That's hard to imagine.

If you a buy a ticket to a ballgame, sometimes Section 103 costs more than Section 104 even though the view is only very slightly better. It's because the team chose to draw the dividing line at that spot. Same with WashU; they have their formulae.

Since it seems to be somewhat common, they just bumped me up as well.
Was pretty prepared not to second deposit. Now I don't know...

My scholarship was also bumped, to the exact amount I was recently plotting to request. No doubt these new psychic powers will serve me well in law school ...

Just to be clear, how much of an increase did you guys get? I got 2k, upon requesting additional bread, but it sounds like you guys did better just letting them contact you.

Mine jumped 10k/year through inaction.

Face, meet mr. palm. So much for being proactive. Congrats, though, on your increases.
ETA: I'm assuming you guys have solid stats, though. Would you mind sharing?

"I have withdrawn from every other school, as WUSTL is the only school...." (right?) I really can't think of anything else that would be "ballsy" and also wouldn't make you seem crazy/weird/scary.

Just got called up from the wait list... really pumped about it and to top it off they offered me 22k/yr.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
