Now if that doesn't make Johann swoon and auto-admit you, I don't know WHAT will!!

Now if I could just stop having mini panic attacks with each passing day I don't hear anything...

All joking aside, I'd be incredibly pleased with going into crushing debt for Harvard or emerging scot-free from NU. It's the kind of dilemma I'd love to have, and I'm hardly going to be kicking myself if I somehow get both, as unlikely as I think that is.

My Chicago love remains strong. :D
Right? It can be hard to remember how lucky we are to have gotten into the schools we have.

Yeah... Scot-free from NU is still gonna leave us with $70k in loans, though...

To be clear, I'M NOT COMPLAINING...

How soon 'till we hit 100 pages? End of the week you think?

I feel your pain. At least you've heard from some schools though, I applied to 21 schools and haven't heard anything back from any of them!

Definitely by the end of the week, IMO. Earlier if they start sending out decisions this week. Also, it scares the shit out of me that even with a $150K scholarship, law school costs 70K in loans. Especially considering I will be paying sticker price.

Well, I have a little bit of savings to draw on, and an SA (if that's what you're into) can take a chunk out of that as well.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Still want NU so badly... PLEASE.

ETA: also excited about NU thread hitting 100 soon. It's been an awesome couple of months.

I'm pretty determined to take out no more than $30K if NU decides they love me. Though I have a bit of savings and a pretty awesome SO, so...that helps.

You guys did three pages today and it turned out there was no movement?! Not even a new Johann tweet?! Don't do that to me. :P

In other news, I discovered through the timeline that someone posted that William Jennings Bryan was a Northwestern grad. I didn't think it was possible, but NU just scored ten more awesome points.

I'll probably have ~ $10K saved up by the time I get to LS, but considering how expensive it is, that's just a drop in the bucket. I've already resigned myself to $200K in loans though, so I've been doing my best to numb myself to how scary it is

And sorry, Samara!!! We're almost at 100 pages though, aren't you excited???? :D :D

I posted the timeline. It was from a Johann tweet, if that makes you feel any better... :D

Don't worry. Even if Michigan overtakes us (and yes, I contribute to the Mich thread too) when decisions come out we will burst into the lead again.

there's a lot more banter ITT than in Michigan's, and if this one is here with no acceptances yet, I'm sure it will stay on top

crumpetsandtea wrote:Hahaha, don't feel bad, that's why I shared! And unfortunately, my numbers are 2.8/176, so I'll probably be WL at most schools even with the decent LSAT score. We'll see how this cycle goes though, I'm hoping that at least WUSTL and NU will give me some love!

I am the same way, although I only applied to 8 schools and all this past weekend. Only really want to go to three (WUSTL, NU, and Nova) the rest are safeties/ going to use to try and get more money at where I do get in/want to go. Fingers crossed for some X-mas gifts in the form of acceptances.

XD!! YES X-mas gifts in the form of acceptances are ALL I WANT THIS YEAR!!! Santa, pleaseeee? :P

I didn't apply to any safeties, partly because my stats make it hard to determine anything but TTTs as safeties and partly because I didn't want to spend money on schools I knew I wouldn't attend. I applied to a lot of T14s (MVPBNCGT) as well as a bunch of T1 schools (BU, BC, UCD, UCLA, UCH, Emory, Vandy, CU Boulder, WUSTL, UIB, UIUC, UMN). Most of my schools are reaches.

Splitter too, but I think I am one of the only people who DOESN'T want to go east/west coast. And as much as I love Chicago, I hate the cold. I have to walk 2 miles round trip twice a day to the Daley Center, and it sucks even though it hasn't even gotten that cold yet. So that narrowed down my options. Chicago is as cold as I am going.
