My understanding is that you can still accept NYU's scholarship but hang on to schools where you haven't received a decision yet. You have to withdraw from schools that have already accepted you, but the deposit at NYU wouldn't affect schools that haven't responded yet. So if you put in a deposit for NYU but two weeks later you here back from Stanford, you can still go ahead and accept Stanford's offer; depositing at NYU doesn't force you to withdraw from Stanford.FryBreadPower wrote:Yes. This is killing me. I just want to know.sharktankdean wrote:cactuarX3 wrote:been complete since December; is there still any hope left for me?
remember that they have not really gotten to the bulk of the soft holds yet....so at this point everyone is in limbo until Dean Deal starts to call more people. Hopefully she does this soon, after tomorrow there would have been no acceptances for 2 weeks.

anyone recommending sending in a LOCI since I've been complete for 3 months now?FryBreadPower wrote:This is killing me. I just want to know.sharktankdean wrote:cactuarX3 wrote:been complete since December; is there still any hope left for me?

I mentioned it in my LOCI...I had read somewhere that they would like to know about scholarship deadlines. But if it comes to it and I haven't heard from Stanford in a couple of weeks, I'll probably see what I can do with NYU as far as extending it, submitting the deposit and still waiting for the others, etc.FryBreadPower wrote:Anyone else have a scholarship offer at NYU and thinking about sending an email to Stanford in a couple of weeks discussing the scholarship deadline at NYU?
Considering most decisions will probably come out in the next 2 weeks, I don't think a LOCI would have much of a difference on your application at the current time unless you have something important to add to your file.cactuarX3 wrote:anyone recommending sending in a LOCI since I've been complete for 3 months now?FryBreadPower wrote:This is killing me. That's true...at the same time I don't think it would hurt. They process them pretty quickly (mine took a day), and it would just show you're still interested, if you have something new to report. If you don't, though, it could look desperate; but I still think it shows interest, which Dean Deal seems to place a high value.Doorkeeper wrote:Considering most decisions will probably come out in the next 2 weeks, I don't think a LOCI would have much of a difference on your application at the current time unless you have something important to add to your file.cactuarX3 wrote:

Nyoooo, if you do, I will feel compelled to do one as well since I'm also sitting at 3 months complete...and loci's just make me feel very formulaic and like a brown noser...none of us want thatcactuarX3 wrote:anyone recommending sending in a LOCI since I've been complete for 3 months now?FryBreadPower wrote:This is killing me. Me too. I am assuming I am in the soft hold category at this point, but I am still trying to hold out hope. My best friend was at Stanford for their engineering ASW last weekend and texted me a picture of the law school bathed in sunshine. I am resisting the urge to gaze at it all day...lawschoolquestions57 wrote:uh, I've been waiting for 5 months.

I don't mean to squash hope, but I believe people admitted got calls before their status changed.ru1ess wrote:you may be receiving a call this afternoon/evening. it is 8:42 there.. keep the faith!Elendil wrote:I'll keep my fingers crossed.
