sound reasoning if I have ever seen it!jetissent wrote:I wouldn't have expected anything if they hadn't sent an email letting us know when scholarship info was coming. At least GT only sends it to the people who are (hopefully?) getting something haha. Anywho, it would've taken a whole bunch of money for me to move to the 'second' city. Here's to NYU or CU in the fall!

I'm really really sorry since I know this has been asked and answered before and it's something I definitely should know.
But where do we send the transcript to? Directly to Columbia or do things still go through LSAC? (I'm held)
Thanks!

Either. Multiple people ITT have called and confirmed with admissions.jellybean8 wrote:I'm really really sorry since I know this has been asked and answered before and it's something I definitely should know.

There was the admitted student program the last two days, so the whole Admissions staff was busy entertaining the admits. I kind of doubt decisions will come out today..ssteiner wrote:Quiet today...anyone hear anything?

Ooh, yeah, forgot about that ASD. I figured, though, with the typical pattern that things might have been mailed out earlier this week and showing up in mailboxes today. No mail for me, though.hypothalamus wrote:There was the admitted student program the last two days, so the whole Admissions staff was busy entertaining the admits. I really hope I get in in time for ASW. I love that CLS is pretty liberal with the travel stipendsGeneva wrote:thank goodness. so many overlapping asws. any idea when columbia will get around to the held ppl?Bronck wrote:March 28/29Geneva wrote:hm, when is the 2nd admitted students day? kinda worries me that the hold ppl will find out by april 24. that seems really late. maybe they'll give us answers earlier?

Anyone have any idea how they make their decisions regarding holds?
Are we going to just wake up one day and notice a decision in our mail box or email inbox (WL)? So...essentially the situation we had prior to being held?

can I ask,
how worried should I be that I was reserved instead of held? My numbers aren't that great for CLS, but I'm wondering if it indicates something particularly bad about my application.

Seemed to have answered your question. I think the only time you should assume something was wrong in your application is if you were denied at a school that you had awesome numbers for (assuming no YP).Blumpbeef wrote:can I ask,

Well they aren't that bad. according to LSP, I'm right above the 30th percentile of the matriculating class.

LSP is pretty useless for splitters. Your GPA is below their floor, so I wouldn't hold my breath.Blumpbeef wrote:Well they aren't that bad. according to LSP, I'm right above the 30th percentile of the matriculating class.

From what I understand, reserve seems to be a soft no from CLS in the past because for at least the last two years, no one on TLS who was reserved has gotten off of it. (I was reserved as well and will be planning for law school as if I were rejected.)Blumpbeef wrote:can I ask,

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I sent my email declining admission at CLS yesterday evening. It was kind of painful. The people there have been so friendly and helpful, and it's difficult to turn down anything as amazing as CLS, no matter the alternative.
Anyway, I hope this helps someone on this long thread. CLS now has another Butler available. Best of luck to all of you here!

You are going to have to wait on that one. Most of us holds were just recently alerted of the hold.Aqua wrote:Any held people get in? If so, please PM me.
Most likely you will have to wait until Late-March at the earliest.

I wouldn't think too much into it. Thelong has a higher LSAT and almost a 3.5 and got reserved I thinkBlumpbeef wrote:can I ask,

I'm held in ED. Is that the same as the holds in RD or a different thing?
I've just updated my transcripts (both to Columbia and to LSAC), any idea when I will hear from them?
