Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Thanks! I'm pulling for you as well!

Does the hold come in the form of an email? I've been enjoying a blissful couple months of not-caring about law school admissions, but like all addicts, I am back on the TLS needle. Thus, I'm a little bit out of the loop. What's been going on?

Hold/reserve are via email, acceptances/rejections via mail.

Here are my obligatory stats... My LSN link is also in my profile.

LSAT: 170
GPA: 3.85
Non-URM
Submit date: Mid-October
Geographic location: Los Angeles area
Postmark date: February 21

I don't post on TLS often but I've been a long-time lurker. Just wanted to share the good news to give hope to those who are still waiting and to anybody who browses this thread in the future. I had become disheartened so many times reading TLS and seeing people with way higher stats than mine being held or waitlisted. Waiting for each round of waitlist and hold emails was nervewracking, and I was beginning to think that Columbia had completely forgotten about me.

Sorry for the rambling... I'm kind of delusional writing on TLS at nearly 4 am. I came home super late and saw the VCE waiting for me on my desk. My parents had checked the mail today, and they had no idea it was from Columbia because the bar code sticker was completely blocking Columbia's name on the envelope. They thought it was from NYU because of the New York return address. I promptly woke them up, and we celebrated for a good hour at 3 AM.
Congrats. This gives me hope-I was trying to keep my expectations down, but this isn't helping. Come on CLS you can take one or two more of these numbers.

Any thoughts on LOCI's for us held people?

FWIW, I did a LOCI on Feb 1st-ish and was accepted last week with very very below median LSAT. Not sure if LOCI contributed in anyway, but I cant foresee a situation where it would ever hurt your situation, unless you bombard them daily/weekly.

This. Just send a LOCI. Not exactly brain surgery.

Do we email an LOCI as an attachment or snail mail it?

Dear TLS soothsayers:

Will there be more hold emails today?

Thanks,

Checks hopefully and...no VCE today. 8)

Would they be more likely to arrive on Monday, because there's no delivery on Sunday? I have no idea how the mail works.

Just caught up on the thread after being away for a few days. Congrats Kring and Byzantine on the acceptances! For better or worse, I still have not heard anything from Columbia. So here's to hoping for more VCE's in the near future.

Is there a Google Doc for people who have not yet heard anything from Columbia? If no, would someone please create one? The necessary columns we need are: 1) date of application complete email, 2) LSAT score, 3) LSDAS GPA, and 4) URM status.
Unfortunately, I'm not proficient enough with Google Docs to create one.
If there is already such a Google Doc, I'd appreciate it if someone sent me a link.
Thank you.

I think it's more likely you'll get one towards the end of the week, as it seems Columbia has been mailing them early in the week, with the recipients getting them during the second half of the week. Granted, there have been some exceptions to this, but that seems to be the general pattern.

Just put on hold. Does this mean it's time for me to visit the ding bar?

My understanding is that a hold isn't a bad thing, but just delays your decision. Being placed on the reserve/waitlist is tantamount to a rejection based on what I have read.
