Anyone applying Spring 2012? No stats available.

I applied last week for January 2012.

I applied early July for spring 2012. I am nervous as I really want to go there.

I applied Aug 1st because that's when the application opened last year, but I saw it opened July 3rd. Sigh.

Ha. The decision process doesn't even start till September, so I'm pretty sure it won't hurt your chances. I'm already so anxious to hear back though...school is so much better than working.

Yeah, it's fine...it's just the principle. I was ready beginning of July!!

So, who else is applying?! Show yourself!

I also submitted Aug 1 because that's when an admission's advisor told me they would be available. He did say that they're not reviewing until Oct. 1 anyway (which also sucks). I'm very nervous too. No stats are available for review for spring admission so we're pretty much in the dark. I wonder how many people apply. And I wonder if a number of people will miss out on applying since the application is usually due on Sept 1.

When I called, they told me August 1st as well. I was just fooling around on my LSAC account making sure my application was ready to go for August when I realized the window opened early. I'm sure it doesn't matter too much as long as you get it in before they start the review process. October 1st is the deadline, but according to the STCL website they start looking at apps in September. Oh and has anyone else been analyzing the heck out of their stats? I think I've used every possible parameter to try and determine my chances for admittance. Ha - Good luck to all!

I am... I applied to you UHLC still waitlisted for fall 2011..so Im pretty sure thats a rejection.

I think I have good chance with STCL witht he stats I already have... I hope :/

Our records indicate that your file is currently complete and eligible for review. The Admissions Committee will begin the review process for the spring 2012 semester after the October 1 deadline. You may expect a decision anytime between mid-October through the end of November. Please be aware that decisions will be sent via e-mail.

We appreciate your patience.

What are you guys doing while waiting for a decision?

Working, surfing this forum, and trying not to think about it!

Has anyone received any log in information for the status checker on STCL's website? Or do y'all know anything about how to gain access to it?

Same here- trying not to think about it. Hoping for some good news this time around. Anyone have any statistical info? I heard it's easier to get in for Spring.

You should receive an online status email from them within a couple weeks of applying. If you just applied then you'll probably receive it soon or I would contact them.

According to the website, it's not any easier. I'd like to think it is, but there are less spots (only 90 I believe) so probably not.

I just applied for Spring 2012 at STCL. I applied for the Fall and was accepted, but I decided to stay on the waitlist at UT Law until the last possible moment with no luck

Do you guys know how many people usually apply for Spring? Also, do you know what the financial aid is like- better or worse than the Fall?

Congratulations on being accepted in the fall! I'm sure if you managed UT's waitlist that you'll be accepted again. I haven't found any information or statistics on the typical number of applicants, but I believe they fill 90 seats in the Spring.

Your second choice in STCL after UT? Any reason you chose to go to STCL over SMU, Baylor, UH?
Im sure if you were waitlisted at UT you will not only get accepted but get scholarships too

My guess is that they will let us know pretty soon after the Oct 1st deadline. They have to give us some time to make our own decision, find a place to live, and get our priorities straight if we are accepted. I think a lot of people will get an email by the end of next week, but thats just a guess.

The application deadline was changed to October 15, and now it has changed again to November 1st!

Wonder why that is? Any thoughts?

The first extension was because of a glitch - the application was down for a while, so they wanted to give the fair amount of time for all to apply, but no idea why now Nov 1. I hope they let people know soon after that because of financial aid, etc.

Has anyone heard anything? I was obviously way off withy prediction!
