Hi TLS,
I am 3.6/153/Public Relations, wait listed and losing my mind waiting to hear something. I figure it's got to be my LSAT score. Has anyone been accepted with a 153 or under?

I've been accepted places (T2/T3/T4) with a 150 LSAT. Surprisingly even waitlisted at UT and American.

Yes....I am also a URM. So nobody knows where I'll land on an acceptance board.

Clearly he's expected to qualify all his cycle related posts with, "but I'm a URM." This of course is despite the fact he has a detailed profile.

Don't you know it. Us URMs should wear a big sign on our avatars showing the boards that this is so. /sarcasm

Because clearly that's what akili was implying and everyone should read every profile before asking a very simple question.

I was making the point that OP's cycle can't be predicted because a URM got in to schools with a 150.

eta: sorry if it came across a different way

i actually knew what you were getting at, but the poster above you did not - at least it appears as though he did not, given the response he posted. I'll be honest and say that it read a little condescendingly to me, but that clearly wasn't your intent. Sorry to jump on you like that.

It's ok. I should have been more clear!!

You cant assume everyone will check profile boxes to see if they are a URM when they say things like "I got a 150 and XXXX" giving false hope to those with low LSAT scores. Once again, people's URM sensitivity is wayy too high. There is a clear difference between AA debate trolling and providing useful facts/data/information to people including whether or not someone is an URM which drastically alters the meaning of their LSAT/GPA.

I didn't mean to start all that. I should have stated the URM status at first.

the only way to settle this is with 10 more pages of inane bickering.

Did you at least apply to some backups? A URM with those numbers should have no problem with at least a handful of Tier 3's.

3.3/153 here. Accepted into WVU & NKU. Waitlisted at Cincinnati, went under review three times at UK, and on hold at Louisville. Still waiting on Richmond & pending at Alabama. Oh, and I am not a URM.

Thanks, this cycle has been a lot more friendly than I thought it would be.

153 and 3.98 and was accepted and earned a full scholarship to Widener. You can receive admissions with a 153, so it may be another factor.

Strong softs. I have 10 years work experience (worked in a jail for the Sheriff's dept), African American Studies major (which no one does, I am the only one graduating with it from Columbia this year), and great LOR's.
