Congrats kids!
I write to inform you that your application at UC Berkeley Law School has passed an initial administrative review and has been selected for further consideration by the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Committee will begin deliberation on your application on February 18. We anticipate a final decision will be reached on or around March 11.

^Same percentage as overall admissions, judging by the numbers thrown around on the CR1 thread.

This may seem like a ridiculously dumb question, but is it appropriate to write a "thank you" email in response to the CR notification? I know it's pro forma but I don't want to be called out for not being grateful.

I was not sure if it's appropriate or not, but I felt funny not doing it since it was signed by the Dean. So I went ahead and sent one only to get an automated reply. Thus, I really don't think it matters if we send one or not lol

Everyone in this thread please post your initial UR date. I was UR 1/18 and have not gotten a CR email; how much of an indicator is this that I'm awaiting a Friday ding?

Any idea on what % of applicants get through the administrative review and on to committee review? Don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Judging by everyone else's submit dates, apparently a pretty good indicator.
