Top Law Schools

I've gotten several emails from schools that have extended their deadlines. None that I am interested, but was wondering if this is normal. Got them from fairly reputable schools (ie Iowa). Does this mean the applicant pool is low? Or are they looking to pick up a few more easy app fees?

Could be either, could be both.
