Waitlists?

What's the feeling on being waitlisted?

Personally, I feel like it's kind of like breaking up with someone by just gradually not answering their calls. Generally extremely lame.

Are you all waiting to hear back? I am just withdrawing from them.

I've only been waitlisted to 2 schools but I'm guessing it kind of depends:
for one it was a nice reminder I had applied because I had completely forgotten (the sad part is that I'm not kidding)
for the other one I was really happy because it is one of my top choices and I was expecting to get rejected

I've only gotten waitlisted by one school, and I didn't really see myself attending there anyways, so I withdrew.

I look at the WL like making it to the second cut... chances aren't great but its better than a rejection.

if you go to lawschoolnumbers.com and search individual schools, you can see stats on who was WL, Rejected and WL, Admitted (and WL, Withdrawn) if you filter information properly. it's pretty easy - go there and tinker around a little and you can find more info

oh wait, you don't actually want information, you're just telling people you're withdrawing. NVM
