Hah well Columbia is my top choice since my SO is in NYC so I'm pretty stoked about knowing where I'll be next year. Then again, if I get a JR2, I don't know if I could turn that down. The best this Josh could do for me right now is waitlist me so I don't feel like crap for applying but I don't have to make a tough decision.eaa1537 wrote:starrydreamz3 wrote:I'm thinking I should send one in. And if I get held then maybe ask another Professor for an additional letter of recommendation. If I'm waitlisted I'm withdrawing and sending my money to Columbia.
So yeah, maybe I'll draft one tonight. Something short, like 2 paragraphs just reiterating I'm interested and maybe talk a little about my senior paper i'm writing that will be published over the summer.
okk guess I'll start drafting toooooo lol... and at this point I can't even be excited about Columbia because Harvard is going to give me high blood pressure!

Haha yeah I just want to be able to make a decision with the choices I have (I will also likely be at Columbia), but this whole being limbo thing at Harvard is messing with my head!starrydreamz3 wrote: Hah well Columbia is my top choice since my SO is in NYC so I'm pretty stoked about knowing where I'll be next year. Preparation + Actual Writing + Editing + Proofreading + Going to nearest mail place + mailing it = 2 hours and 8 minutes. All hail Usain Bolt of LOCIs.

I don't have high hopes for HLS, but LSAC did just send them an updated transcript for me today. Maybe that'll remind them I exist!

I'm confused (and need coffee). Are you sending an LOCI because you were held? Or because you've been under review since Thanksgiving.

Re: The Forgotten - Harvard 2011
Sorry no movement here- I've been UR since the beginning of November so I sent one to remind them that I exist. If I get held after this then I'll probably send another LOR. But let's hope I get a JR1 insteadahduth wrote:I'm confused (and need coffee). Are you sending an LOCI because you were held? Or because you've been under review since Thanksgiving.

Thoughts on whether to address LOCIs to JR or to the entire admissions committee?

Since hold e-mails have JR signature, I think "Dear Mr. Rubenstein" is TCR.swilensk wrote:Thoughts on whether to address LOCIs to JR or to the entire admissions committee?

What if I'm trying to beat JR to the punch? I haven't heard ANYTHING from Harvard but I'm gonna write a short update/love letter and then if I get held, probably go buy some blue sweatshirts and start apartment hunting in Morningside Heights...Nulli Secundus wrote:whether to address LOCIs to JR or to the entire admissions committee?

Application Under Review since 12/6.
I've already been rejected by Columbia and Penn, so I figure that my fate at Harvard will not be too different. Do I have reason to believe otherwise?

Is anyone else one here still forgotten, too? I still haven't gotten a hold or anything. Considering sending a LOCI but not sure if it would be better to wait til I'm officially held/rejected (with the second option being more likely. By a lot).

Re: The Forgotten - Harvard 2011
I'm still here...not sending a LOCI; it's not like they have any doubt I'd be interested, so I'd rather not bother them. I am equally pessimistic!TheGreatWait wrote:Is anyone else one here still forgotten, too? I still haven't gotten a hold or anything.
