Gonzaga 2011

Post by ineptimusprime » Tue Jan 18, 2011 9:42 pm

I haven't seen a Gonzaga thread. Anyone here applying there? Have you heard anything yet?

I've been under review since 1/11/11.

I applied back in November and have been in review ever since. The status date has changed 2 or 3 times though. It took them almost a month to even acknowledge receipt of my application. It seems like they are in no rush to make decisions. On LSN evryone is still pending so it looks like no one has received a decision. On the bottom of the status checker it states that the review process takes 4-8 weeks so I would assume that some decisions should be coming out shortly.

That makes me feel a little bit better. I haven't heard from them at all, and after today, they're the last school that hasn't acknowledged my application/given me a status checker. At least now I can be pretty sure they got it, and are just taking their time getting back to people.

Yeah, I've been under review since 1/5/11. Looking at LSN's last cycle, seems like the earliest someone heard from them was 1/28/10 with the majority of decisions beginning in early Feb. I'd like to think I'll hear next week, but I might have to wait a little longer. Same with Utah.

Checked the status checker this morning and it says "decision made" as of 1/24/11. I am guessing a letter is on the way. I don't know why schools do this. I'd rather be surpised by a letter than know I now need to wait for the mail.

I just got a call from Gonzaga's admissions office letting me know I've been accepted with a full tuition scholarship. (Decisions decisions!)

She said that I should receive my letter sometime next week, if that helps anyone else who has a decision on their checker.

To those who have been called, does your status have the same "decision made" status as those who are waiting? That may give some insight as the school might post something different for those accepted than those rejected.. or it could all be the same..

My status checker still reads "Application in Review" with a date of 1/4/2011. Responded to your LSN message already, but this might be useful for others. =)

Dang, I was complete around the same time as most of you guys, and I'm still in review..

I've felt a subtle expression of contempt emanating from Gonzaga towards me throughout this whole process. I hope this is just me being me (neurotic/emotional), and isn't real. :D

All of you are lucky that you receive your mail so fast. I live in Canada and the mail takes forever to get here from the states. Usually about 10-14 business days. So when I get the notice that a letter is on the way, the wait is horrible. On my Texas Tech status checker it first said "patience is a virtue" and then about two days later on 01/14/11 it said "hang in there, decision made". So I've check the mail everyday and it is now the 24th and still nothing. All of you will get your mail way before me and I am left to follow the forum to try and predict based on the reactions what my fate will be.

Yeah I have had a "decision made" status since Monday. Did any of you Monday people receive anything in the mail yet? If so, did you get scholarship money or was it just for the people they personally called?

I just got my acceptance today 16K x 3 with the same stipulations. I am disappointed.... I would have probably gone there if they offered me a full scholarship.
