I got a phone call from a chicago number (no ties to chicago), I missed the call. But the number was not from the university(according to the web-site's listing; on the same day my status was updated. Does anyone know what this might mean???

Yes, I actually do know which one of the millions of Chicago residents called you and why.

The bulls are doing pretty good; they will not appreciate me.

They're looking to add a veteran presence off the bench.

i guess this is just further proof that high LSAT scores are not correlated with common sense...
I would argue common sense gets in the way.

OP:

If it's 773 area code followed by 702, then congrats, because it looks like you might have just gotten into UChicago.

Having spent 5 years of my life as an undergrad and then employee of UChicago, I should say that nearly every single number associated with the school contains those six digits, including the law school. At least, my family friends who are profs at UChicago Law all have those in their office numbers, along with my UG thesis advisor, who is a former top administrator of the university.

Call it back. A similar thing happened to me last year and it was Emory admissions.
