do decisions come during winter break?

Sorry if this has been asked or is in some FAQ somewhere, I can't seem to find it.
Should we expect decisions from schools over winter break?? Most universities shut down save for their maintenance people...
I imagine there might be some early decisions that will go out because a lot of schools have an end of December deadline to get a decision, but other than those, are decisions mostly put on hold for 3 weeks or so?
