Top Law Schools

As I was checking my emails this morning I noticed that I have been given a student ID at one of my target schools, for financial aid purposes. I was allready complete and being sent to the admissions committee. My numbers are competitive at the school. Is this a good sign for me, or does it mean nothing? ( the school wants financial aid applicatons doneby feb 1). I dont want to get my hopes up, and I dont want to submit financial information if its going to be unnecessary ( i dont want to spend hours doing it, only to find out that im rejected). Any thoughts/ ideas?
