Top Law Schools

Has anyone received any type of response from Central? I submitted my app 10/1 and as of last Friday (9 weeks) was told it was still under review by the committee. My LSAT (148) is acceptable for Central but my GPA (2.38) is low. I graduated undergrad in 2002 and have significant work experience that should bolster my low GPA.

I thought I would have received a decision by now. If anyone has heard anything from the school, or if any current Central students could provide some input I would appreciate it.

Prob because of my low GPA

I applied to Central this year as a back up. I got a 159 on the LSAT, and my father is an alum of NC Central Law. Your GPA will make it tough for you to get in honestly, especially because it is not offset by a higher LSAT. Plus if you look a Central's acceptance %, which is less than 25%, you know that alot of students with sub 2.5 GPA and sub 150 LSAT apply there. Not saying you have no chance, but you will be on the fence.

My application has been "Complete and in Review" since 10/27. My LSAT is in range, and my GPA is above their 75th percentile. I'm out of state, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if I got rejected. LSN shows that NCCU is kind of all over the place with who they accept, so it makes it harder to predict whether or not you'll get in.

So today when I checked my status it had changed to "Decision Status: Application in Committee Review". Does anyone know if this is a sign that I may get a decision soon? Or, is it the school telling me they still have not made a decision on my application and I should just be patient while I wait?

Hello everyone! I applied to NC Central on 10/02/2010 and my application is still pending. Current Status " Complete, in Review". I really hope to hear something soon. My GPA is 3.8 but my LSAT was on the lower side (below 150) so I am afraid that it could result in denial. Some of my friends who applied to other NC schools have already heard back as of last week.

My status FINALLY changed to "Decision Rendered" today, but nothing else changed on the page. Does anyone think this is a bad thing?
