You're either lying to us, or your ex is lying to you. I can't think of a reason any school, much less a top-30, would accept someone without an application to review, and then offer scholarship money on top of that.kmap wrote:My ex just got got a call from a top-30 school offering him acceptance and scholarship money. which isn't to be confused with sleep apnea.bryannance wrote:does your ex get on lsac.org in his sleep? he might be a sleep-apper.
Yeah, but that's because they're a T4 and the legitimacy of their program is on par with the Nigerian princes.ogman05 wrote:I had a T4 school spam me like this before with a full scholly during my app cycle. Never applied or intended to. They wouldn't stop even after request. Had to eventually send a very straight forward email stating already attending another school. So it is possible.. just unlikely from a T30.

Other than T4 schools, W&L is the only school that sends me multiple emails and snail mail every week. A few days ago I opened my mail box to find three separate letters from them. They may as well sent them all in one envelope at that rate.
First thing I thought of as well. Don't talk to your exes. He's probably fucking with you and you just don't realize it.scruffs mcguff wrote:The bigger question here is: why are you still talking to your ex?
it is possible actually,Spack wrote:Uh...this is not possible. At all. If someone called then they obviously thought it would be funny to troll your boyfriend.
It just doesn't make sense. More people apply than are accepted. Why would they go out of there way for someone who didn't apply and all they know about the person is the LSAT and GPA? They might say that you are qualified for scholarship money with your scores, but I don't think they would say "You're Accepted. Oh, and we know nothing about you but we'll also give you $10,000."crossingforHYS wrote:it is possible actually,Spack wrote:Uh...this is not possible. At all. I had a friend get in to pepperdine this way and she went.
It really doesn't, at ALL. If it was normal I would have expected to hear about it from people who have a 180 LSAT and a 4.0 GPA. I think it's likely that someone called to recruit him and said something along the lines of "If you apply and are accepted (and you have a high chance of being accepted), then you will be eligible for a full-tuition scholarship". Not, "Hi, you haven't applied to our school, we know nothing about you except for your GPA and LSAT score but we REALLY want you to come to our school. You're accepted with a scholarship even! Bye"edubs003 wrote:It just doesn't make sense. More people apply than are accepted.
