Where is the best place to live within a 15 minute commute to class?

How is the school with negotiating scholarships? I was given an okay amount but I'd like a little more to help alleviate the cost of living and it also is worrisome that it is non-renewable.

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions.

Q: Where is the best place to live within a 15 minute commute to class?

A: well, that is a pretty broad question. i live near ucsf and it takes like 45 minutes to get to school, but is easy. 10 minutes if a ride my bike. try and live on or around fulton so you can catch the 5. it also depends on money... haight is really close as is NOPA or try inner richmond. really people lived all over the city their first year, most people lived in inner richmond or around nopa or haight, but some people commuted from berkeley or all the way at the beach on the west side of the city.

Q: How is the school with negotiating scholarships?

A: i got more money than was originally offered, just be polite but assertive and maybe point to other scholarships you got from elsewhere. USF is known to be stingy with their scholarships. SF is expensive, but a great decision!

yes, more or less, maybe like 100 or something. i didnt get it for the fall because i lived within walking distance. it is good for unlimited travel on MUNI (light rail and bus) but not bart. it is great to have and a great deal.

i ave no idea as i am not trying to work for the government or biglaw and therefore am not going to participate in it. i would email the office of career planning if you want to know that info. i went to the OCI meeting and it seemed like there was maybe like 20-30 firms or something, dont quote me on that though.

Asked about money yesterday, got an email today and was awarded a very small scholly offer, so just a heads up to those that have gotten off the wait list, don't be afraid to ask about scholarship money...

is there a facebook group??

Does anyone know if USF has sent out any rejection letters to wait-listed candidates? Or is everyone still fair game?
