Dinged earlier today by email...not a huge surprise, since UL seems to be a big fat LSAT whore this cycle. Went under review 1/19

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
They "encouraged" me to write a LOCI...we'll see. I am competely disgusted with the shallowness of these admissions' committees. If your LSAT score or GPA isn't salubrious to their U.S. News Ranking, then you are SOL.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
yup. I have decided that it doesnt make sense to carry on this cycle into the wl period, and forgo a scholarship to attend at sticker. Thats why if a school puts me on WL or hold, I just cross them off the list and forget about them.
Its too much of a risk to decide to wait for a waitlist chance, and have to rush to find a place to live in mid july, or a few weeks before school starts. Even if I were to be sent off a waitlist earlier- its just a hassle that I dont want to go through.( this is all moot in this thread, since ive been accepted, but its just my general stance)

Maybe some levity will help? I created this tour of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law through the eyes of my Con Law textbook. Possibly the only quasi-official law school tour that involves liquor, small children, and heavy metal music.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
Admission packet came today. Letter was written 1-25-10, status checker updated 1-20.
They do look at your softs. I had a handwritten note about my personal statement and my resume. So they do look at everything in your application.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
i was under review for a while. I submitted everything in november, and I just heard. I think they started looking at applications in mid december or january so they have a lot of work ahead of them.

Hoping to get a decision this week. I went under review last week, and they told me it usually takes about a week.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
My application was sent and complete on the 10th of January, and I went under review on the 26th, so I think they are picking up speed. When I visited they told me that had just finished up with the last of the december applicants and are moving on to January ones.

Re: Louisville 2010 Applicants
I think they send out scholarship info with that packet, so perhaps they aren't offering anything just yet.
I hope they send out another batch of acceptances this week, for all of us who are currently under review.

Called this morning - they sent out the packet and the scholarship letter/notice separately. You can call and confirm that you did indeed receive a scholarship but they won't share the amount

That's interesting. I wonder why they would send them separately?

Haha. I just tried to channel enough wishful thinking their way.
In via email this morning as well. Quite pleased!

Ugh. I have 155/ 3.57 and I'm under review. I don't like the sound of this "way above the median lsat but rejected" business.
But I've been accepted at Chase, so I guess it's their loss...
