I was accepted from out-of-state last year, with a scholarship (in case anyone has any questions on that). Let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you.

Applied, pretty much a long shot for me at 161 3.17, but I've seen other non grass have success here so I went for it. We shall see.

I'm still waiting for LSAC to process my last LOR so I haven't applied yet.
What is the deal with the Dean's/College Certification? DId they require that for your app?

"Your application to the University of Connecticut School of Law is complete. The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing completed files in January. We review files in the order that they become complete. An email letter will be sent to you as soon as a decision is made on your application."
I guess we will be waiting until January.

Deans Cert is gone this year since they just went paperless. I asked yesterday at the open house. Good open house btw. Tasty scones. Campus was a real surprise. Big for a free-standing law school and it looks really Ivy. I like the instate tuition after a year. Big bargain. Also new DC program made me more interested. I hope I get in but since they read the files based on the date they are complete in the office it is an advantage to get it in and complete fast. Mine's not in. Talked to a guy whose app has been complete for a month. Gotta do mine next week. He said waiting till deadline is a disaster. They said to be complete by the end of the year is okay. Talked to admin afterward and told that dean scholarships to something like 20% of class but that they give them out early. 161, 163/3.5, lots of student activities, west coast who wants east. Why not after the CA publics now cost what Cornell does! Like this school a whole lot more after visiting.

For those who have applied- did you disclose traffic violations under the question about criminal history?

I have one speeding ticket, but it wasn't a criminal just a civil citation. Wake Forest and Lewis and Clark were the only ones that specifically asked for ALL traffic tickets. That being said it never hurts to disclose.
I was wondering if I had to include a separate listing of all college if I only attended one and it will show up on my LSAC report?

think we need to do whatever is asked, even if it seems obvious...

For anyone else wondering about tickets, I called the school and was told that non-alcohol related traffic violations don't need to be reported.
Also, in response to the question about the separate attachment for listing schools attended, it may seem redundant, but it's best to give them whatever they ask for.
On a side note, I just submitted my application this morning.. I'm anxiously waiting to go complete!!

I threw an application out there...we'll see what happens.
My current status is "application received"...I assume it should be "complete" soon enough

I've been under review for about a month-- but it says on there this is just a preliminary review and they are pretty much just taking a peek at a few applications before January to familiarize themselves with it. Anyone else have this paragraph? haha.
Also, anyone know my chances on getting accept/deny or getting ANY $ (163/3.3)? I've heard nothing but the best about UConn and thy seem to have really great job prospects for the ranking. I live in Florida though... so it would be a HUGE change.

You'd get to see REAL snow. If you go back through other apps like on LSN etc I mean there aren't very many people who have your numbers who aren't accepted.
Around your LSAT should be able to get a scholarship...but most of the scholarships I have found are above 3.4...but then your addendum might help there for all I know as well.

This thread seems to have been neglected but figured I'd ask and see if anyone has had movement on their applications and/or know when the 'committee' plans to finally get some work done
I submitted early and am done with the waiting, ugh!

I looked at their lsn from last year and it looks like their first decisions dont start coming out until late January, looks like the wait is going to be longer than we'd like

I reviewed last year's thread and I'm not expecting to hear back until February. Which is rather discouraging because as in-state, I'm quite interested in UConn!
