Please Help. What forms do decisions come in?

Will the schools just email you? Do they call or send you letters? I am going on maternity leave and will not be able to check my office email. Do I need to ask the schools to change my email address?
Please help. Thank you!

It depends on the school. Here are the ones I know.
Duke-email
Chicago-phone call
Michigan-mail
Virginia-phone call
Georgtown-mail.

Virginia often emails to ask YOU to call. Several schools seem to email, but also will send via snail mail you'll just be waiting longer.
Are you able to forward your office email to another account?

I think they may disable my email completely if I go on maternity leave. My company has a very strict policy.

Maybe I have to come back early from my leave.

Call the schools you applied to; update you email address. Done.

Thanks for the school specific info. I am only applying to Stanford and Berkeley. My circumstance makes it impossible for me to move.

I want to use more formal email addresses than the free ones. Any opinion on this?

I don't think it matters as long as your handle isn't "
lawgurrrrl2010@gmail.com" or something like that.

This.
firstname.MI.lastname@gmail.com is fine. No one cares.
