I just got the call today, and accepted the spot! I was on the PWL, so there is some movement. Don't give up!

Has the wait list basically been purged at this point? What's the latest word?

I called and heard they were sending out offers until the end of July. Has anyone heard anything yet?

Just called admissions; they are sending an email at the end of the month. Probably letting everyone know that the waitlist is closed

when I asked if they were still sending out offers she said she's not sure. So yeah...

As a preferred waitlister who has been anxiously expecting some news all summer, I've grown pretty irked by the highly suggestive language in Maryland's WL letter.

I agree. I am also a preferred wait-lister, and the language in the letter basically led me to believe that I was almost certainly going to be admitted. However, I did call yesterday, and the girl I talked to said that they were making offers until the end of the month. Hopefully they admit people off the waitlists at the same time or it looks like we are screwed.

As expected, an email was sent out releasing people off the waitlist...

Email stated there is still a small chance of being admitted between now and the start of class...
