Re: Loyola Chicago
If anyone is interested in living in the the burbs (Downers Grove) and training in, I have an apartment rented for the upcoming year! it'd be 500$ + cable/internet and elec, so between us it'd total out to around 575$ a month (a/c and heat included).
It's a block away from the main street station (expresssss train to union)
LMK if anyone is interested!
btw im class of 2014 of loyola chicago law, not a rando!

We are pleased to inform you that Loyola University Chicago School of Law will no longer require a minimum GPA for students to maintain their merit scholarships. As long as you remain in good academic standing (which requires a 2.0 cumulative GPA), you will retain your scholarship.
We hope that the security this new policy provides will help you in deciding where to attend law school.

Re: Loyola Chicago
you guys think commuting in from Lake Forest for the first semester or 2 would be a terrible idea? I have free housing there that is walking distance to the train station.

Re: Loyola Chicago
only if you can get things done on the train. otherwise I feel like it would be a massive waste of time, time is valuable so it may be worth paying to live closer.aknecht wrote:you guys think commuting in from Lake Forest for the first semester or 2 would be a terrible idea? I've on the waitlist since 3/1phannahan44 wrote:Waitlisted last week. Darn. Anyone else? Anyone know much about Loyola's waitlist admissions, year by year? Would think they take a good deal because of the better law schools in Chi and Loyola's relatively equal status with its two main competitors, Kent and Depaul.
Already sent in an updated resume (new job since I sent initial app early February), LOCI, and expressed continuing interest. Loyola is my first choice; really thought I had a good chance of acceptance, now just hope to sneak in off the WL.
Anyone else in waitlist limbo? Any suggestions, feedback, etc? Thanks in advance.
i've already sent in my updated resume and loci.
they sent me an email last week asking if i want to remain on the waitlist.
i have a feeling that they are not going to look into the wl til summer..
i got dinged from depaul and still waiting to hear from kent.

Unless someone was WL because of YP, my guess is there is only a VERY slim chance that others on the WL will receive scholarship $.lsatextreme wrote:yep i did. Any alumni way in on their experiences at Loyola? Also, job placements after graduation?
To keep in spirit with this topic, does loyola give out "full" rides?
Thanks

You'll have about a 50% chance of getting a job as a lawyer.
