Haven't seen a UT thread yet. Has anyone else turned in their app? I got my status checker a few days ago.

Wildcat, did you go to UG at K-state, Nova, or Arizona? (i'm sure there are other school's that use the wildcat mascot, but those are probably the most well known.)

The first decisions came out last year on the next Monday. So maybe some movements are coming.
Mine's been complete for a month.

I only asked because I am a wildcat as well. Apparently of a different genus.

It took me about ten days to get the status checker email, but I applied mid-oct. Anyone have a sense of what kind of numbers would get an out-of-state applicant some scholarship money?

2 days for a received email, and 8 days for status checker email. Logged in and was already complete.

I'm waiting on my October score, but super psyched about UT. Austin is the best.

Another type of Wildcat here, I applied on 9/9. I talked to their rep yesterday at the law fair and he said for RD I should expect to hear back in February and that was surprising. I hope we hear back sooner

Ahh I don't even know where too begin! 6th street is pretty great, though I've only been a few times. We, of course, have ACL and SXSW and I think we even have a Comic-Con this year. The Longhorn pride is pretty much out of control on game days. Lady Bird (Town) Lake trail is a really neat place to run. It's a gravel 10 mile loop right downtown and is very popular for walkers, people with dogs, runners, and mountain bikers. It's really gorgeous. The whole city is very dog-friendly (which I love). Barton Springs is a spring-fed natural swimming pool that is always about 70 degrees. Downtown is very walkable. There are loads of really delicious places to eat at. We have great Tex-Mex (of course), Indian, Thai, and pretty much anything else you would like. It's freaking hot in the summer, but right now it's about 84 degrees. June through mid-September is pretty miserable as far as heat, but the rest of the year is wonderful. Plus, there are several lakes around. That's just a smidgen about Austin. I'm not the best to ask about campus since I didn't go to UG here, but The Drag is pretty fun to hang out on.

Hmm interesting, thanks. I've only been to Texas once - a conference at TA&M. I kinda really liked it there. I really want to visit UT.

Good luck everyone. UT 2L here. I have been pretty happy with UT. They were very generous with scholarship money, and the tuition is below average even at full fare. The facilities are kind of wack, but they're remodeling the library, so that will probably get better in the next year or so. Still, we don't have facilities to match our peer schools, but the faculty is outstanding, and our law review is ranked highly.
Good luck again!
