I just withdrew, couldn't do OOS tutition on all loans. Hope one of you on the WL get my spot, best of luck. And to those attending, enjoy the Twin Cities and go grab a steak at Manny's.

Re: Minnesota 2011
Has anyone gotten an initial decision (in other words not a waitlist pull, but an accept/deny/waitlist) in the last week or so? I'm still in "Waiting for Review" and e-mailed admissions to make sure this status was correct, and they stated it indeed is - so I'm thinking if it hasn't been reviewed by the committee yet, that a May/June decision is the soonest I should expect? Has anyone been in "Waiting for Review" and then gotten a decision, or did it switch to "Under Review" first? Thanks!

Re: Minnesota 2011
I was accepted three days ago, applied mid February. I had it as "waiting for review" and then got an emailed decision. Unclear if the status changed. I'll be withdrawing though...desrea777 wrote:Has anyone gotten an initial decision (in other words not a waitlist pull, but an accept/deny/waitlist) in the last week or so? How were you notified of a waitlist decision? Do they call for those too, or email?play2win wrote:Waitlisted, 167 3.14 just so you guys who are waiting have an idea.

Does anyone know when the second seat deposit is? My guess is once the deadline has passed and the law school has a better idea of who is and is not attending, they'll move to the waitlist if needed.

I don't think there is one. They required one large one in April ($750). Students who deposited just got a "timeline" email yesterday and there is no mention of a second deposit. I think movement will come as students who deposited change their minds/get off waitlists.sabs210 wrote:Does anyone know when the second seat deposit is? Oh, interesting, I was under the impression there were multiple ones as most schools I've come across have two. Thanks for the heads up. I guess it is back to the waiting game...

It is only one deposit. Someone asked about this on the Facebook group and it was confirmed.sabs210 wrote:loblaw wrote:I don't think there is one. They required one large one in April ($750). Thanks for the confirmation! Would you happen to know if there is or when the deadline is for admitted students to actually accept the offer? Thanks again!

Re: Minnesota 2011
I don't know how long people had late acceptances and wait list offers, but those of us that deposited are already getting email addresses and such. I guess people can still withdraw, but they've already accepted for the most part.sabs210 wrote:

It was absolutely excruciating to do this, but I just withdrew and freed up some $$. Best of luck to all you waitlisters. Minnesota is a fantastic school.

I love Minnesota. I can't wait to move to the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area upon graduation from lawl school. If you end up attending this school, kudos to you.

Out of curiosity for a friend of mine's next year cycle with similar numbers, are you URM or not? And also, did you apply early or late?dstars823 wrote:Off the wait list.... $22000 a year in scholarship. Called today. They're still looking into the waitlist. Has anyone else heard anything? I would love to attend this school.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
