My application is on hold, but I have the following listed without a check mark in the documents received category. Should I email FSU and ask about this?

Question 18A Documents Received
Question 18B Documents Received

I believe those are for the sections on whether you've been arrested, on academic probation, etc. If those don't apply to you then don't worry about it. Good luck!

My status changed to application complete on 3/23, with a 161 LSAT/3.4 GPA... Do you think there's a chance? I'm trying to hold off on submitting a seat deposit somewhere else, but I guess that's what I get for applying so late.

I got in with 160/3.5 so there's definitely a chance...I did apply in January, though. Not sure how much chances change with numbers like ours later in the game. Good luck!

Still holding. Would kill to know if there are any seats left so I can get an idea about the odds.

I got in with a 159/3.79 (new GPA increase with transcript) though degree granting was 3.96 and I've heard they look at that. Not sure the validity of it. The point is, I got in with a shitty LSAT so you should be okay.

although i think it would be wiser to kill for an acceptance than just some info that prob won't help you make any decisions lol

i sure hope they stick to the "before may 31" deadline...i would really hate to throw more money at miami only to later receive an acceptance from fsu

We have very similar scores and even though I'm in at UF (and I applied late and application was on hold until early March because of new LSAT) I'm thinking at this point I'll be waitlisted/denied by FSU.

And is that May 31st thing serious? My seat deposit at UF is due on the 16th so I don't think that's gonna work for me.

Yup...on the status page...at the top...it says we will receive a final decision before May 31st...hopefully they stick to their word...also this date hasn't already worked for some ppl on hold...some of us put $500 on Miami to save our seat...but are ready to forget about that money if accepted at FSU...this is all a huge, ugly game...it's best just to play along...so if you're serious about FSU, and have this attitude of forget them cause UF deposit deadline is coming up...then you're not playing this game properly...how much is the deposit anyways? sometimes you just gotta pay to play...it sux...i know...

did anyone receive an email from FSU urging you to apply?

it says that the admissions committee has made about 70% of the offers and "there is still an opportunity to be fully considered for admission, even at this point in the cycle."

i don't know..it's already late april.
sounds like they just want my application fees!

Thanks guys! FSU is my undergrad, so it'd be nice to be a 'Nole a little longer. My app went "Under Review" sometime today :o

I posted this in the c/o 2014 thread, but it may be more useful here for those of you who are still undecided. It's a very good summary of the Class of 2010 profile, including a helpful map of # of alumni in each state.

--LinkRemoved--

Here's some UF data for comparison... I can't find stats on alumni in each state, though.

--LinkRemoved--

Both FSU and UF had 76% of grads finding employment in FL and 24% going out of state for the class of 2009, as well. I know some people had concerns about differences in portability of the degrees.

Also got an acceptance call about 5 minutes ago. Previously on hold with 160/3.53

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
