waitlists and student loans

This is purely out of curiosity as I'm no longer waitlisted, but what happens if they pull you from the waitlist a week before school starts... How do you get your student loans, tuition, living expenses etc covered. Doesn't seem like loans can come out in under a week. Anyone have experience with this?
