Congrats on getting off the WL!

The general TLS opinion is that you should never attend a law school you wouldn't be happy to graduate from (and it's a good one). No one should go into LS thinking they will be at the top of their class and in a good position to transfer up. Only attend a law school you would be happy to graduate from. USC is an awesome school, but if your goal is the East Coast, you might be better off elsewhere. That being said, I think you should reapply.

However, it's hard to give a good answer without knowing your number. If, for example, your numbers are such that USC was a big reach and you don't have a good reason to think you will do a lot better on the LSAT, maybe you should stay at USC rather than risk being out nowhere again next cycle.

Do you have any reason to believe you will do better on the LSAT this time.

Also if you have the grades to transfer to T14 from USC, you won't have to transfer.

oh hey lucky, congrats on the USC acceptance...

anyways I'd try deferring an year (just call up and ask.. tell them u already have a job committment) and then retake the LSAT. USC will be back up and u can see how u do/ if you should reapply

If you feel like USC isn't the right school for you and would be unhappy graduating from USC and working in California, then it's pretty clear you should think long and hard about spending so much money and 3 years of your life there. However, you are unlikely to get into anything that well-ranked without a solid improvement on the LSAT, and you need to consider losing the "T-14 or bust" mentality if a 164 is the best score out of 3 administrations.

Also, before making this decision you should do some research into the legal career you're interested in pursuing; building your future plans around becoming an international human rights lawyer or a feminist legal scholar civil rights public interest lawyer (?) is unlikely to end in anything resembling success.
